Brother Tyler
The structure and templates used in this club are a first draft. I'm definitely open to making changes, hopefully developing a basic template that we can use for other advertising clubs. The concept is that each video that GMG produces [about Warhammer 40,000 hobby games] will be covered in its own topic. Instead of hot-linking the videos in the topics, I've provided a thumbnail (copied from the YouTube thumbnails) that links to the YouTube page. There is also a text link to that page. Ideally, B&C members will engage with the content creator at their platform (YouTube in this case). Discussion here via replies is fine, but it is preferable that you engage at the linked site. I intend to include links back to the indices for easier browsing. I also intend to expand the tags used. For example, any video to a battle report will have the battle report tag. That way, if you just want to see battle reports, you can click the tag and the system will give you search results for all content that has the same tag. In theory, any time GMG posts a new video, any member of this community can post the link here, creating a new topic for that video. Staff members will then update the index. So when GMG posts the third video in the ongoing series about preparing the 3rd/4th edition of the Space Hulk game for playing, someone will post the new video topic here and we'll add that to the Space Hulk index. For now, there's no need to post new videos here. I'm still working on the videos for the WH40K and Kill Team games and I'll include any other new videos as I complete this club. In the meantime, if you have ideas for improving this, especially in terms of this club serving as a template for similar future clubs to follow, I'm open to your suggestions. Similarly, if you have any questions about how this might work for GMG or any potential future club for some other content provider, I'll be happy to answer them.
