Beta spends an indeterminate, though extended period of time in the 'Palace of Thaumizin' - hours to days, but returns almost instantly from the perspective of Patience Kys.

Time Displacement, Time Travel, etc etc has been taking some major plot points recently in a lot of the recent books. 
 

so much so, GW decided to bring back Ordos Chronos who have been making waves in a lot of Time/Temporal related incidents. (TEATD, Pharisene Paradox, Avenging Son, eg) 
 

so it doesn’t shock me we’ve seen focus on elements like this.
