Crablezworth
Idea for 2 round 1250pt event, no titans BUT everyone takes a warhound in addition to their list with whatever weapons loadout they want. Meant as a small introductory event. Like 4-8 players, more likely towards the 4 end. (at least here). Players are half loyalist and half traitor and paired up as such, one game would be played in the morning, then lunch, then one more afternoon with lots of time allotted for both rounds. Scoring is end game, you score by holding objectives and killing hq models and tank commanders. Both sides must place 1/3 of their detachments in reserve. You roll from turn 2 onwards for those detachments to see if they come in. This can be done per detachment anytime during the movement phase. Some special rules and limits in play for balance. Trying allowing armour saves to units that suffer a wound from losing cc roll off. The hope is we'll see more resilient units like tanks and knights suck less, and if we're lucky fewer silly charges like solar aux lasguns trying to take down super heavy tanks etc. I completely understand people taking issue with one or more of the special rules, they're largely done to save time and make it easier for newer players. Formations are capped at max 3, and none can be taken more than once. So they're all effectively 0-1 options. Reason for the 4x4's instead of 5x4's is gaming space is limited. Ideally we'd be playing on 5x4's but its more than likely not possible. I've got alternate deployment maps also sized for 5x4 if anyone is interested. On this end no solid date yet but if there is enough interest perhaps before the end of the year. I've added a 2nd version of the deployment maps for 5x4.
