There's a challenge running on the Some Things Are Best Left Forgotten blog, which invites you to paint between one and five miniatures themed around the War of the False Primarch.

For clarity, I'm running this(!), and I wanted to share some of my own WIP work here. First up is a pair of Marines Orcinus – or Red Fish

Love to hear your thoughts, and if you want to get involved with the challenge, please do feel free. Here are the details: [I WANT TO KNOW]

I do love a multi-model base, that's always fun. Used to do them all the time back in my Fantasy Battles days, but never really ventured into it for 40K. Maybe when I finally do some big units of Guard.

I'd be kind of interested but I am gonna be busyish for a few weeks.

I'm also a huge fan of Lich's Laboratory. Hes got excellent taste.

But I don't really do Instagram :whistling:

@Terminatorinhell No problem if you don't do Instagram. If you're happy for me to share, I'm happy to take the pics from here if you prefer :)

I've been working on my own contributions – a group of the Pseudolegion; the Silver Stars:

Thus far the Silver Stars have been deliberately rather anonymous in their uniform Mark II plate; with little sign of personalisation beyond markings. With a neat little pile of standard bolter-armed Marines all complete, I thought I'd have some fun with alternative officers, sergeants and the like.

I've also started on a couple of Death Eagles (I), as I've wanted to paint up a couple of these magenta and white Marines for a long time. Together with the other Death Eagles, they're a perfect example of the confusion, double-think and misunderstandings associated with the War of the False Primarch:

Quite apart from anything else, I rather miss Mark VII, and it's been a treat to build some more of them!
