i think that all of the cult legions could do with fleshing out. death guard need it the least since they got such a massive release, but but i wouldnt mind bolter/heavy weapons berzerkers, or melee rubrics, or something of the sort. the cult ranges suffer from only having one viable playstyle, and you could do all sorts of cool units. emperor's children having legionaires is a good sign to me.

I wouldn't mind some non-Noise Marine EC units, but I'd want them sufficiently distinct that they weren't just Slaanesh-marked Chaos Space Marines. I always felt like there should be a distinction between, for example, an actual Death Guard army and a Nurgle-aligned Chaos Marine army, with benefits to either route; in the old 3.5E Codex, for example, going full Cult would unlock some really nice toys but lock you out of some other options. Some kind of focus on combat drugs or other non-Sonic special weapons would be nice, or even just being able to take a Blastmaster as a heavy weapon.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do in any event; speaking as someone who's more or less given up on modern 40K as a ruleset but still enjoys the hobby side and also loves the Emperor's Children, I'm hoping they get a good showing. To be fair, I'd be surprised if they didn't. Even the kinda crummy WE release got some awesome updated Berzerkers after all.

I'm just gonna link to this comment from the other EC thread:

Getting back on topic, we've had plenty of discussion about the EC side of this video but barely any about the Kreig side of things.

Deathrider focused Kreig is very interesting, but I thought Guard were meant to be getting more stuff than just that?

Unless it's literally just a box of Cav and all the other stuff comes later.

I just hope the Deathriderkit will be less fiddly to put together than the Rougb Riders. Only newer Guard kit I did not enjoy building.
