Honestly I think you're right here.

Why? It’s visually like 99% identical to Alpharius’ spear. When have GW reused visual language like that across completely different factions? I know Alpharius’ spear is a Xenos weapon, but I highly doubt it’s a DE wych spear.

edit: I don’t mean to pick on your comment so strongly here, I just find it weird that it’s essentially identical to a literal Primarchs weapon and there’s guesses as pedestrian and removed as ‘wych weapon’.

Some people on the web consider it a AoS Idoneth Deepkin preview. So there is that

What I read it seems putting this exact spear on an AL upgrade sprue would be akin to putting the Emperors sword on an Ultramarine upgrade sprue though.

AL do have the whole "I am Alpharius" thing going on tho, so I wouldn't put it past the Leader of an AL Warband to have a Power Spear made which looks like the Pale Spear to help complete the look.

I kinda get it if you’re not familiar with the Alpharius model (although I don’t think it really looks that Idoneth, or even Eldar for that matter), but when they’re in the thread next to each other they’re so close.

Solomon as a BL celebration model sounds like a good shout. I'd much prefer someone like Honsou who occupies a far more iconic position in the BL stable, but never know what the future holds. Alternatively an AL upgrade frame or something to that effect would also be very cool

It's weird that the guy leading the Iron Warriors in 40k just under Perturabo has been forgotten.

I'm a bit behind maybe but at the end of the last novel he appeared in he was kinda army-less, lost and assumed dead was he not?

McNeill wrote a pair of follow up stories for one of the latest omnibus reeditions. Honsou ends up meeting Perturabo (as a daemon prince), and after avoiding being killed by him, both go on to talk about the IW actions for the 13th Black Crusade. That's the last time we heard of them in 40k.

I’d love to see a special character for AL, IW, WB and NL. Black library has plenty of very popular characters to draw from, no need for Gw to reinvent the wheel.

Would not be the first time they release a recent BL character, instead of a beloved classic. Severina Raine is cool and all that, but a Ciaphas Cain / Jurgen set would have been a blast.
