I played a game yesterday for the first time this edition to see if I wanted to keep my necron army. My favorite unit has always been locust destroyers so I used them and some wraiths and some other odds and ends. I won the game but I noticed on New Recruit, they no longer had an invul save. So Here I go, tanking them into firing lanes to take on a Voltan firing line, annnd all of a sudden they are dying left and right to shooting with highish AP. I managed to pull them out and won the game but what did they do to my favorite unit? Is New Recruit wrong or did the new codex nix the invul they have had for decades?

I can say they haven't had an invulnerable save as far back as 7th edition.  The Decurion back in the day used to hand out a 4+++ feel no pain that was absolutely insane.  Invulnerable saves must have been 5th Ed or earlier....back in the days of phase out rules maybe?

Could be completely wrong and maybe I missed something(or I'm starting to forget), but, been playing necrons since all we had were metal figures and army rules in a chapter approved book and I don't recall destroyers(floating ranged weapon platforms) having an invuln. I believe the destroyer lord did at one point or 2.
