Given the time frame we're now in (18 months till 11th edition) could this be an inkling to what SM are getting, or even possibly, in the new box I wonder.

Of course, that's only if it’s SM to begin with. Time will tell

Thats not completely unrealistic. Last time was Terminators and Sternguard. I could see this being a fast attack box. Vanguard and repulsor bikes. Captain on a bike. Some jump pack character. And intercessor 2.0 tactical squad

40k boxsets have never been in rumor engines, doesnt mean it couldnt start now ofcourse.

But on the other hand another spacemarine wave before the edition ends is quite common.

btw while it is kind of a meme, the majority of the rumor engines do not take that long, there have been extremes but these have almost always been commemorative type miniatures or things where one could point and explain why it is so late.

The Necron overlord that released last year and was on the rumour engine on 16/11/2021 begs to differ

I see what your saying though but I wouldn't necessarily count on extra space Marine releases coming...unless we're all wrong and Black Templar is getting a new toy to help purge the heretics of course. They'll be last divergent chapter standing after SW

Itd be bonkers but on brand if Primaris got jetbikes as well as wheelbikes

Jetbikes and Wheelbikes existed together in the Heresy and it'd be a good way of adding some more "kick" to the exceedingly small Mounted Section of the Astartes army.

Then again, White Scars Jet Bike Character or Khan himself would be funny as hell and as a White Scars player I'd be all for that.

My guts say Primaris Jetbike, Primaris DA Land Speeder Vengeance or SW 'geezer with the sledge' ( I can't remember his name!) Or the space wolf flyer that looks like half a Caestus assault ram.

Those exhaust vents match everything else primaris that floats.

Just a feeling based on :

1) I can imagine them trying to resurrect Marine jet bikes backed with some 'Cawl' fluff.

2) We haven't seen an updated Vengeance or the SW santa sleigh.

That said ! Equally, I'd say the counter argument against this point is that the trend for non chapter specific vehicle kits is something they'd stick to, to avoid a niche and increase sales for all SM sub factions.

I wasn't actually expecting any Primaris flyers soon - the model line could defiinitely use them, but it seems that GW has been trying to move the game away from them. So I expected whatever flyer designs had been in the works would remain "in development" for the next few editions.

AND if I were to expect Primaris flyers to show up, I definitely wouldn't expect them to start with a chapter-specific model.

BUT unless I'm wrong, the existing Space Wolves Stormfang/Stormtalon is the only Marine flyer with stacked turbines.

So either they are doing an update to that kit as part of the upcoming Space Wolves refresh or they figure that one way to make the generic Primaris flyers different from the Firstborn aircraft is to give them a stacked-turbine look that only one chapter-specific kit has right now.

EDIT: Or... y'know... it's NOT a flyer.

I dont think this is a bike though, the curvature on the top and very bottom makes it look like this is a half, not a full element we look a.. the total thing being at least 2 thrusters wide.

OK, but what if this is a Primaris Hoverbike, but this is specifically the Hoverbike equivalent of the Attack Bike or the Invader ATV, which is why it's 2 Thrusters wide.

If that happens before we get Chaos Bikers then I’ll riot!

primaris Radicalisers on hoverboards

No no, it's clearly a Votann Hover Board which will be a throwback to this bit of art, one will have 'SLAM SECTOR' decals emblazoned across it :laugh:

A new SM release doesn't have to be tied to a chapter specific thing. The brutalis and Desolators were just released without any real tie into anything.

It doesnt, but thats not the reason why people make guestimates on chapter specific things.

Anyway, Im putting my last bets on this being the rumored Greyknights vehicle combined with this one :

Id rather one full type of biker range than two half hearted ones, give us multipart bikers.

That would be an amazing box honestly.

So as Im always responding with "its not that bad" when people estimate rumor engines to be revealed years later every single rumor engine discussion, I decided to double check and put numbers to my statement. Mind you, I did all of this with pen on paper crossing, and things might be 1 or 2 numbers of the bigger the number is.

of the 477 resolved rumor engines :

316 where resolved within 6 months

118 where resolved between 6 to 12 months

43 where resolved longer than 12 months .. of wich only 7 took 18 months or longer ( 7 rumor engines covering 4 models only, with only one regular release : the Necron phasing overlord. )

There is only one rumor engine currently over the year ( 2 years even) entry, but it has art and its highly implied  its an abandoned AoS release, the first of its kind. Though there are 3 others that are getting there ( 1 year mark ) very soon, very likely those 3 are one miniature.

So the chance this is for 11th edition, is quite small.

edit :

If curious, those exceeding 500 days :
979, 951 and 545 days - LE Necron FEC ghoul king on throne
880+824 days - Warhammer + Chaos sorceress, probably a held back regular release originally.
713 days - Necron overlord with the phasing etc, this one I dont know why.
556 days - Rogue trader techpriest, the game being a perfect rogue trader anniversary thing, but came out more than a yearafter the anniversary. ( delayed probably)
510 days - One of the Speedfreaks game ork vehicles.
508 (+466) - The now revealed and released commemerative Halflings

I'm still hoping for Multipart Outriders, but I'd like to have Generic Jet/Hoverbikes as well as those.

Because, again, Base LSM has exactly 3 Mounted units and 1 of those is the ATV.

I'm fed up with Dark Angels having more bike options than the actual Bike Legion who've been relegated to Core Codex, so if GW isn't just going to give their unnecessary Bike units to us then the least they can do is give us more usable bikes.
