This is only the beginning since I only have 2 tanks and some infantry atm, but it's getting there.

I started this sometime during the dread plague lockdown and it's been slowly growing since then.

I intend to have:

2 Tank Commanders

3 Russ

1(2?) Dorn

2 Mechanized Infantry squads in Chimeras

2 Stormtrooper squads in Taurox

2 Artillery tanks (Basilisk or Manticore, haven't decided)

To which might be added a command squad, Ogryns, Sentinels, maybe an Inquisitor, Sanctioned Psykers, a Callidus and so forth.

Mortian MBT (Rogal Dorn):

Hauptman by AceMinis (Leman Russ):

large.hauptman95.jpg.9fc5a5f430cc2d3d9fe

These two are around the same size even though I'm using them as different tanks.

The Hauptman is same width and height as a regular GW Russ but it's about 150% the length so it's quite significantly bigger. The Mortian is about 10-15% bigger than that.

I chose to use these cos I don't like the GW tanks. They look a bit goofy to me.

The Infantry I have done so far follow.

These will all be mechanized in some way. The regular infantry will have Chimeras, the Stormtroopers Taurox Primes, or some 3d-printed equivalent anyway. I've yet to get any of this since it is quite awkward finding very niche vehicle designs that almost no one produces.

Command Squad:

Same two guys with a kitbashed Servitor:

large.bannerofficer.jpg.cd6a168f4760e646

Basic Infantry squad. I wanted these to be reminiscent of Krieg but have their own distinct look, as well as being 28mm scale. I tried to do a basic low-effort colour scheme to save time since there are 20 of them, but some of the detail is lost so I might go over them again.

I have 2 squads of them and probably won't get any more.

That's all I got for now!

Thank you, glad you like it.

In regard to that then I suppose I should show off some more angles of the tanks, as well as a size comparison with a GW Russ.

large.tankstopsizes.jpg.59266879447ca173

Russes are really quite small.

My plan with the tanks going forward is to use the same colours throughout, but have a different camo pattern on each vehicle for variety.

The colours are Vallejo, I think. Dark yellow undercoat, then painted the brown then the green.

It's a pain getting my tablet to hold steady which is why there's a lot of blur, sorry about that.

Some detail on the Senior Officer. Forget what they're called these days. Majors? Colonels? Commanders?

Not much else to show atm. My man in Croatia is making some more Russ proxies for me:

Might get it next week, who knows.

I suppose I should show off some more of the proxies I intend to use.

This will be the Taurox Prime:

sp-mv-250-gunther-01.jpg

This will be the Chimera (this is an extremely modular customizable kit, can change it to tracks, can change out the hull to make it into a Hellhound, a Manticore, a Hydra and so forth):

sp-mv-234-lothar-apc-1.jpg

Basilisk proxy:

sp-mv-165-gretl-cover.jpg

Thi will be the (other) Rogal Dorn, probably better than the
Mortian for this purpose tbh:

sp-mv-181-carius-1.jpg

The following are optional that I may use, not sure.

This would be a Tank Hunter, probably a Stygies since I don't think it would be big enough for a Valdor.

sp-mv-167-mechtild-2.jpg

And finally a small armoured car for use as a Sentinel:

sp-mv-222-friedrich-rcv.jpg

I'm not being paid to advertise this guy I promise.

I'm not sure when this project will be completed as these will all take some time to be made and for me to assemble and paint them. But there is a Plan(tm) I assure you.

In other news, not necessarily 'Armoured Company' related, I have a number of character models and things to show, most of which are not painted but will be imminently.

Here I have a priest conversion and Lady Haera from Necromunda.

large.priestandhaera.jpg.7a74c7782dd07de

The idea was that Haera would be an Inquisitor proxy.

I've put off painting her because I wanted a different head but I haven't yet found any good alternatives. I may just paint her as-is. Intending to for a predominantly white, gold and silver paint scheme.

The priest is the Uriah Jacobus, Protector of the Faith model, originally had him as a cultist leader in my chaos army, hence the paint scheme, but now he loves the Emprah again. <3

I'm going to cover him in religious symbols.

These are Iron Korps Psykers, they'll be the Sanctioned Psykers if I ever use them:

large.sanctionedpsykers.jpg.e11a7917f049

These two are going to be used as Ogryn bodyguards or just ogryns/bullgryns in general.

The one on the right is the Orrus by Artel W with the Bane head from the set of heads I use for my Infantry. I might use him as an Inquisitor too.

The GW Orrus has a puppetswar head, I'm intending to paint him as an ABC Warrior from the Stallone Judge Dredd movie. We'll see how that turns out. It's not inknown for people to use other proxies for ogryns like Ambots, and I might try that too.

large.ogrynbodyguardproxies(Orrus).jpg.c

And finally the wargames exclusive Iron Commissar:

large.commissar1.jpg.1a8ebcfdabbac347c6b

This is a great model but.... there is a problem with his leg. The thigh length of his right leg appears too short.

This will drive me insane so I may try to fix it lmao. We'll see. Shouldn't be too difficult.

And a closeup of the Servitor:

large.servitor1.jpg.da014aee127cd0a9fe74

large.servitor2.jpg.6e0a715b965c5009e45b

This was a kitbash from a lot of spare parts. Head is puppetswar, torso is from those Slaanesh cavalry guys, axe is from a very old Ork power weapon sprue, legs are WHFB Empire Hero, gun is from CSMs, cables from his back are a servo-skull. the detail and piping on his torso are from CSM backpacks.

I love these tank designs too. They're great. Pity there aren't more of them.

I was considering using stl mechs for Sentinels too, but I think I'll just keep it to vehicles for a consistent theme. Very little of this army will be GW by the end.

My man in Croatia has finished printing the next Russ so hopefully that will arrive soon. There should be another arriving shortly after that too. I'll have to wait til January to really get this going though.

I have a number of figures for use as Tank Commanders and I might ask you guys your opinions when I have them ready. I should be able to show the assembly and painting of the Hauptmann kit this time.

I'll try make the TC Russes look a bit fancier, but they're still just going to be utilitarian camouflage for the most part.

SOON

icm_fullxfull.726959880_jz5bjqomyxskc4ws

What's good about this kit is that basically every piece has a little nook for putting a magnet.

Behold the squad:

large.TankCommanders.jpg.238656207a0674d

I have about 6 guys I can use as Tank Commanders, but I only technically need 2, so the others are decoration.

I think I will use the Commissar for a Dorn, so that leaves 5.

This guy:

large.TankCommander1.jpg.8b282707851480a

.... is made from spare parts and will have more going on. I'm going to give him epaulettes for a start. But still, I'm not thrilled with how he's turning out. Head's too big. Might ditch him or change it.

Also, I'm assembling a bag of parts for a Primaris Psyker/Inquisitor:

large.Psykerbag.jpg.8eb9069c32da5d0a76d3

... so he'll be joining the carpool too.

All I got for today.

And he's done:

large.Psykerfront.jpg.292972d23affd8f155

large.Psykerright.jpg.03477fbf775b664caa

large.Psykerleft.jpg.a5c377fb78f679059c3

large.Psykerback.jpg.bb53d58cae92c1088c5

I may do more with the paintjob since it's fairly basic as is. His face could definitely do with more attention...

This is primarily a non-GW model. I think the berzerker holster and the base are the only things from GW

The arms are maybe a little too big. I had big trouble finding parts that had him hold the staff like that. The staff, the hand holding it and his right arm are all separate parts.

I may at some point come back and break off his legs for new ones, they might be too short.

Overall though I think he turned out well. Dunno if he's going to be an Inquisitor or a Primaris Psyker though.
