Kharn13
Thanks everyone! This event really got me motivated, I’ve since painted some friends for Angron and started a party bus for Khârn - pics below. Very much looking forward to next year (I have some ideas for Master of the Forge). Still can’t get my signature to show, but hey ho! Chaplain Raeven
Thanks for hosting the event Grot, It's probably a nightmare to organise. I had a lot of fun! I had hoped to finish a lot more models (really A LOT more!), but I can't complain nonetheless. At least two sizeable ones are banished from the pile of shame, a pile they've been in for an embarrassing long time. I've already got some models ready for next year. Well, actually the ones I intended to paint this year! Thank you for the Artificer title everyone, I hadn't expected it at all! Especially with all the wonderfull entries this year! Dr_Ruminahui
Woohoo! Go chaos! Fantastic job on getting completioniest, and on beating out the ever fearsome imperials on total points! I suspect the dastardly imperials pull ahead, though, if we calculate the 30K point totals in, due to the fantastic showing of the pro-Emperor side there (that said, pro-Heresy was no slouch either). Thanks for the Master of the Forge award, everyone - I'm really happy my defiler was such a hit. Lots of very excellent competition for it, so its a really honour that so many liked it. On a related note, I've put my defiler as my profile art, which has interesting consequences if one mouses over my user name besides my posts - basically, one gets my defiler with my avatar head instead of its turret. So, this: Wow... that picture is way bigger than I had intended. Anyway, it makes me laugh and I thought I would share. NovemberIX
Honestly, I gotta give Grot muchos kudos for running this, I'd been jonesing for an ETL type event, and this more than fit the bill. It motivated me to finally build some big models that had been gathering dust, nothing to say about all the armigers that resulted from trying to get to a hundred points. gaurdian31, Dr_Ruminahui, Firedrake Cordova and 4 others 2 1 3 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384716-call-to-arms-2024-the-final-summary/#findComment-6078780 Share on other sites
Lord_Ikka
Thanks again for running this Grot, always a pleasure to do something this fun. Super surprised I got votes in the Master of Forge given the level of talent shown, so thank you to any who voted for me. Another great event down! gaurdian31, Kharn13, Grotsmasha and 3 others 3 2 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384716-call-to-arms-2024-the-final-summary/#findComment-6078887 Share on other sites
Dr_Ruminahui
One nice thing about these kind of polls is that people can vote for which ever model is the most awesome for them, which won't necessarily be the same for everybody. And @Lord_Ikka, your battle bus was definitely awesome in a 2nd/3rd ed kind of way, so for its no surprise that it scratched some members particular itch. It really reminded me of something somebody might have built using the 3rd ed Chapter Approved Vehicle Design Rules - as someone who built some of his own vehicles using those rules, and painted several more done by a friend for his army, that's incredibly cool.
