How do those Terminators (Space Marine Heroes series 2, unless I'm mistaken) scale to the latest version?

IIRC they're definitely not as big as the refreshed Terminators, but a little taller than the old kit.

Damn, those are some really sexy terminators, especially the sarge in the front and Clawman. Do I really need another squad next to my 60 terminators?

Are they BA-specific, or is the banner a really nice freehand?

They're a little bit smaller unfortunately, but not too out of scale. Arms can be swapped fine, but bodies are a bit shorter, even with tactical rocks. The Captain would need to be bumped up a base size.

Pretty sure it’s freehand. None of them have any specific chapter iconography modelled on them.

Eugh. Do I begrudge having to buy the whole set just to get the Ancient, when I already have the rest of them? Yes.

If the Captain was available solo I would probably pick him up but I'm guessing the full set will be too expensive to justify it.

the only value to these terminators i see is getting the assault weapons on to the newest Terminator models.

Would shell out for the Chaplain if he was available separately, I always regretted not picking him up. Pretty good selection overall it looks like, just weird that so many individual sprues MUST be bought together for this MTO.

Might go for the chapter command. The bits are fantastic in that one. Will need to see the price they want for it in the end, money is super tight at the moment.

I just want more of those stepped shoulder guards the champion has. I can’t get enough of them!

Those terminators are amazing, but I'm only lacking the ancient and the heavy flamer. That's actually the first mto that I'm considering buying. Curious what the price tag will be.

The best thing for me on those Terminators is the wonderful variety of armour details and honours on the individual sets, really gets the feeling across that each one is a piece of relic wargear - a missed opportunity on the new MPK Termi box.

 

Unfortunately, for me personally at least, the difference in scale is just too jarring, next to the new kit they look too weedy, which is not the impression you want to have when looking at TDA?

 

Buying to kitbash with the new TDA is definitely an option, but would probably work out very expensive.

 

On the whole I think I'd have to pass.

Ooof! Right in the terminators! My biggest weakness with GW .

I dont need them but I really, really wanted them for my Deathwing when they were released so the temptation is there. That or they were going to join the space hulk models to be a BA terminator force.....

I only managed to get one model when they were last available (servo skull guy) but it went together so well and looks so good vs the older plastic versions.

 

The shine is taken off a bit as the biggerised version of terminators are awesome and I've already invested quite a bit in them.

If they'd put the sternguard kit on, I'd have jumped on it - really regret that I didn't pick that up before it suddenly disappeared (alway put it off due to size of my backlog), less interested in the command squad.
