So, character focused detachment. Seems solid tbh, LAG is likely better for b many cases. But it still seems like this one has some mileage in it. We tend to like our characters anyway (honestly not sure if this is better for a death company army than the actual death company one lol).

After the first read seems valid to me! Would consider it more than our two other detachments beside LAG.

For sure.  I'm not quite as high as an A- on it, but if LAG is A+, this feels like a solid B+.  LB is a D and AH is a C+/B-.

Thinking the scout enhancement on an aggressor blob w/captain.

maybe even HIs to help them jump into a midfield objective where their ability helps make them shine.

HInts are probably legit with their upgrade.  I'm way lower on Aggressors right now after the most recent dataslate.

Aggressors benefit from the shooting strat and the melee buffs more than just about any other unit i can think of.

In the shadow of great wings...

I feel this is pretty big? Does this mean the enemy shooting is lost?

You mean, like are they not eligible to switch to a new target?

I would have to reread the rules, for RAW, but me personally I wouldn’t throw a fit if they selected a new target.

The shooting potential of this detachment does intrigue me. Partly because I’ve got plenty of HI pads in my BA bitz box so this could be good way to use them.

I’ll take a stab at a list on a bit but currently thinking a 10 man brick of HI with Captain and Biologis, and 10 man squad of Hellblasters with SP will likely feature.

Personally that's a lot of character investment in HInts, which may make sense with their new offensive statline but for my money, if I was gonna try to make that Sustained Hits work with, I might put the Biologis with the Eradicators he already likes.

Give him Priescent Flash for early positioning, of if you play legends keep a Librarian Dread nearby and yeet em up board. Sustained Lethals on their melta guns sounds... Gorgeous.  Might also consider the same entire loadout on a Lt w/ Hellblasters.  Both squads love some of the Wing cover while moving into position.

I'm truly excited to use the new detatchment. It's definitely weaker, but it's got some fun combo ability. Gotta get some more paint down on my BA.

Keep in mind it might be best to keep 1 character per unit to spread the detachment buffs around as much as possible.

If GW ever bring aggressors back down to a usable points cost (with the Fire Discipline nerf), them and a biologis out of a land raider could be interesting again.

Fwiw, I don't think  I'd put any character with erads in this detachment as the detachment rule doesn't really help them much.

Biologis is lethal hits, which with a melta is tasty.  Lethal Sustains gets me a bit hot under the collar. That and Prescient flash alone makes the Biologis at least worth considering.  And fi they get caught by a charge by being too close (Since Melta), fall back and shoot is really nice, and spending a CP isn't always where I want to be.

If you're going to bring anyone, it's probably worth giving them a leader no matter what in this detatchment.  Randomly being able to use the detatchment rule without having to use a CP is going to be worthwhile alongside whatever buff a unit leader brings anyways.

Still using mine in a SR with a MM boxnaught, and a captain.

gets them wherever I want them T1, and they still always do work, but today they went ham.
