Thousand Son Rumour

Did a rumour video today (linked below for those who want the waffle), I've heard through the Whispers that they're getting some type of Robot battle unit with their release.

 

It does kind of make sense because in a White Dwarf a few months back they got a story of sending them to the Pariah Nexus.

New daemon characters are coming as well huh. There are still resin characters to be made in plastic for each god.

So with those rumor engines Im leaning heavily towards orks (or Necromunda wildcard as always), but aside from that:
the "leg" ( as Im not sure if it even is a leg currently.) is very small, when looking closely it also seems to be all one piece, I think its a robotic/peg leg for a "normal" size character... or even a weird shoulder mounted contraption, with us actually seeing a bald head or top of a bare shoulder on the rumor engine. ( though it could also be a skull on the base, because if its a leg its standing on a rock.)
the mechanical claw too is not very big it also has two notable things, an attached very rough flamerthing attached to it and a flesh/cloth element on the top right.

 

Honestly, if those rumor engines are for TS, I think the mecha-tzaangor joke would be close actually, but I dont think its TS.

 

I think GW wouldnt lean into a "human" sized ramshackle cyborg look for Thousand sons automatons, it would be a little bit out of place stylistically and the smaller size would compete with what rubric marines already are...  Id expect bigger robots, and Id expect the trademark tzeentch decoration on it.

I think the magical gun rumor engine could be related though, maybe.

 

Would be interesting if its just one unit or there will also be a TS "tech"marine to go with it.. actually thinking about that the "leg" rumor engine could be related to the latter if its a shoulder mounted element, because that screw design Ive seen on two things only ( Ork mech suits, specifically the Big mek and Ghazkull, and the two primaris techmarine models... though the design is a little bit different there.)

I think blue scribes are purged, they are not in the AoS battletomes index anymore, wich they would probably remain in if they got plastic miniatures this AoS edition

Same for epidemus I believe.
And the only reason the other "resin ones" are still there might be because they can be made from other plastic models.

 

I personally think the daemons coming will be new offerings, rather than updates.

TSons do have unique "Techmarines" from Horus Heresy, those being the Numerologists.

No model ('cause HH) but they're basically just a Techmarine.

The actual books for nurgle and Tzeentch aren't out yet in AOS so there's still a chance they could come back in plastic.

Once GW had the new CAD files for HH ‘bots, it’d have been real simple to make 40k TSon versions off of them.

Yeah, that seems to be the unit from the rumour engine. Would have to see how changed it has become from being Warp-tainted.
