Translation:

GW put Necromunda, Cyberpunk, Ancient Egypt and Japan into blender and that's the result.

Why ancient Egypt - it just looks like Japan?

They are fantastic sculpts, but definitely hit the aesthetic a little on the nose.

Not sure where they're getting the Egypt thing from either.

The Falcon bits maybe?

'Cause if that's where it's from those look Aquilla based, same as many Imperium logos.

The model on the left has mix of dress, decorations and color combination gives me ancient Egypt/Tomb Kings vibe.

The dress is a pretty standard looking long-sleeved white kimono with a jade Obi.

The "belt buckle" seems to be a classic 40k "parchment accessory" presumably being their Sactioned Psyker licence.

The Red Collar with a stylised Aquilla on it is mentioned to be a piece of wargear, specifically for the psyker it's essentially a fancy Psychic Hood.

The Bladed Fan is a proper Japanese weapon (complete with it's own Martial Art) and the headdress and hairstyle combo seem to be designed to resemble Geisha fashion.

The white and red combo are also pretty standard for "Generic East Asian Colours".

The Force Stave is less thematically linked, but it has the normal "Eagle bits" most Human-level Psykers have on their Staves, plus the colours match the Kimono.

The servo skull, however, is just a Servo Skull.

Neat concept. Onmyodo is 'The Way of Yin and Yang' so that being reflected with a Psyker and a Blank is neat.

Bit ambivalent on the models. The design themes clash a little with the normal 40k aesthetic but I like that it exists.

the art is great, the minis are some of the worst Necromunda minis ive seen this generation. literally no saving graces for the minis.

Jesus. I don’t think they’re half as good as the art but they’re not that bad.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

I for one love them. Not a Necromunda player but will happily add these to an Inquistors retinue.

the details are chunky in a bad way, the colour scheme is terrible with colours that dont fit, they would have fit in the 90s red era maybe. the posing is bad and does a bad job at conveying any sort of character. The swordswomans weapon has a cable on it that looks like it weighs 60lbs on its own, the masks are a jumble of details that may work in larger scale but are lost in this scale, the details on her hair are huge, much akin to early cad sculpts not the finer detail that FW was capable of.  The cables on the torsos have no weight to them and appear to be blended into the cloth etc no fabric deformation to make it look like they are pressing down on the cloth. The cable out of the fighters neck is pointless and just adds nothing to the mini.

i know alot of it is personal taste but i just think from an artistic and technical stand point they are poor minis.

I agree with you on some points.

I think that the paint job did them no favors and they come across as very 'clown'-ey. I think a different paint job might rescue them though. I wish that we had a 360 look at the models.

its too light, the clowny comment is spot on and puts into words what i couldnt quite articulate.

A very dark grey and jade colour scheme imo would be better.
