When the Necrons rise again, a mining planet descends into the crucible of war and the ruthless enemy decimates the human defenders. Salvation comes in the unlikely form of the Death Korps of Krieg, whose forces are as callous as the Necrons themselves. When the two powers go to war, casualties are extremely high and the scale of destruction is unimaginable. When the Necrons rise again, a mining planet descends into the crucible of war and the ruthless enemy decimates the human defenders. I would venture that we have good odds to receive a tie in novel for the new Fulgrim model sometime in 2025.

Id guess it would be in the same vein as the Lion/Angron books. Id hope the limited edition is appropriately bejazzled and ostentatious.

If it's not draped in real skin then it is a failure

115 eur for the Primarchs Portraits. Thats a lot more than what I was expecting.

They are a nice size. But that is a massive amount of money for it.

I expected it to be around £50 based on the 2 advent Calendars they did with 24 prints a few years ago, the first one was like £90 or so but then the next 2 were about £50, a surprise for GW to lower a price but that seemed far more reasonable for it. £85, and for fewer of them, is just way too much for me.

Hopefully "Era of Ruin" will finally be announced

It's interesting that they're doing announcements (or singular) now considering the BL "celebration" is next month. I wonder if it'll be a BL miniature instead of a novel

My guess is either just a miniature, or a miniature and the inevitable Fulgrim 40k novel.

There was that rumor engine of an Alpha Legion spear, it could be the character from Brooks' novel considering he has the Pale Spear now

Maybe that's just me hoping

That would be cool, as would another Alpha Legion novel from Brooks. It could also be a Carcharodons character to go with Void Exile.

Guys, what do you all think about GW missing the opportunity to show us Tzeentch followers manipulating politicians and civilians to cause political destabilization using a wave of conspiratorial manipulations of individuals? After all Tzeentch is the Chaos God of misrule. I think what GW did is they wrote Thousand Sons books (specifically the Ahriman books and other CSM books with Tzeentch worshippers) with a focus on purely sorcery and physical mutations (bodily changes). They did not show how Tzeentch followers manipulate commoners, aristocrats, politicians, and rulers with connections to cause mayhem and governmental instability. Tzeentch can be used to show plots and manipulative people using subtle techniques to cause an Imperial government to breakdown into misrule, internecine conflicts, and internal squabbling. Instead of showing human characters being influenced and coaxed by Tzeentchian agents to work against not the Imperium as a whole but a regional or localized planet or sector as a result of a Tzeentch cult activity, GW used the Thousand Sons to solely focus on Psychic abilities, Sorcery, and mutation. GW thereby eschewed showing the human side of Tzeentch's influence and in place of that chose to focus on only the magical aspects of Tzeentch. What do you think? Any hope for a future series where BL readers get to see the non-magical human side of Tzeentchian corruption and influence?

I mean realistically, GW has done the same thing to all four Chaos Gods

You already mentioned Tzeentch

Slaanesh is the God of Excess, but you really only see the pain/drugs aspect. Never someone that's so obsessed, with something like food for instance that they end up falling. If it's not drugs or pain then GW doesn't really touch it

Khorne covers all martial aspects, but you only get "blood for the blood god" etc, never something like an Arbite who is actually honorable, that kills to protect people, or something like that getting favor from Khorne. It's only the battle side and typically only if they get a high kill count. Sigismund for example would be prime example of what I mean. Khorne also cares about martial honour, but even before he took the role of Emperor's Champion, he didn't get any attention

And Nurgle, he's realistically supposed to cover the entire life cycle, but you only get plagues and mutations

GW has seemingly picked their tropes for each one

My understanding is that GW instigated a (sort of) PG/YA mandate for BL content assuming readership would mostly be youngish and they didn’t want complaints from outraged parents by going too deeply into the more adult aspects of the gods.

This content standard doesn’t seem to be as strict nowadays but I can’t see GW putting out a Slaaneshi edition of Seven Shades of Grey anytime soon.
