We've got more chance of getting Iron Hands 3 than Black Legion 3 at this point.

Both, of course, are extremely unlikely to be released before Abnett completes his Aeronautica Imperialis trilogy in 2052.

It's almost perfect time to drop some Crime novels, since they aren't tied to any major releases. One can dream...

Era of Ruin up for pre order on Amazon Canada

A fantastic anthology of short stories set during the Siege of Terra.

Horus is dead. His Heresy is over. The scars of mankind’s great schism will never fully heal. For those left behind, a new Era of Ruin is dawning, promising both new beginnings and fresh peril for an Imperium riven by trauma and war.

In Chris Wraight’s ‘Homebound’, Ilya Ravallion must choose between the decimated White Scars and living out what remains of her life in peace. And an embattled Ahzek Ahriman must race against time to learn what he can of the warp, before its gates close to him forever, in ‘Ex Libris’ by John French.

Featuring tales from Dan Abnett, Aaron Dembski-Bowden, Guy Haley and many more, this anthology follows mighty Custodians, scheming sorcerers, and the lowly footsoldiers of the Imperial Army, as all negotiate the devastating aftermath of mankind’s greatest reckoning.

A fantastic Warhammer 40,000 novel from Black Library featuring the Astra Militarum.

Physically and psychologically conditioned from childhood under the most horrific conditions imaginable, the Tempestus Scions are the Imperium’s deadliest human soldiers – fearsome killers expected to follow their orders ruthlessly and without question.

Led by the merciless Tempestor Traxel, the Scions of First Eradicant squad drop directly into the fires of a global civil war. Joined by a commissar who personifies the suffering of his past and facing a foe from the darkest days of the Imperium, Traxel’s fracturing psyche places the entire world at risk.

On Rilis, Traxel will face the foe that broke him. This time, there is no price he will not pay.

Astra Militarum novel releasing on August 26

Honestly, these days, who knows?

There is no systematic roadmap or communication from the corporation about upcoming plans or releases. We get sporadic, inconsistent announcements about individual titles which may or may not be months away or might just have a special edition pop up on pre-order the following weekend.

The trend does appear to be that the Crime and Horror imprints have severely fallen by the wayside. Are they officially discontinued? We'll almost certainly never get direct, explicit word one way or another.

There's been NO word about the fourth and final book in the only series (excluding the Genevieve reprints) that Horror had. The whole Morghast thing was ditched despite repeatedly stating it was a 4-book-series during advertisement.

BL never really states they are done with the series. But the last Crime novel was 24-06-2023 and Horror 04-03-2023.

I see people talking about these books and asking for more. Heck, even writers clearly stated they would love to write more. But hey, it doesn't sell as well as the latest plastic-crack accompanying generic bolter porn novel.

Such a bloody shame.

Part of me really hopes that the Amazon deal is very successful and they are crying out for more series to expand the IP and they pick up WH Crime and that sparks sufficient interest to revitalise the book series…well I can hope right?

Monkeys Pawn curls

Due to Amazons deal, 40k is more popular than ever, but all the new fans are only in it for the Space Marines, so the amount of bolterporn is quadrupled. New series are revealed and launched. The Scouring, Space Marine Reconquests, Horus Heresy Retold and as of yet unnamed 8 books series (That will totally wont turn into 10) written entirely by Phil Kelly and Nick Kyme.

Interesting to see a date for Era of Ruin , that looks worth picking up.

Where is my Crying-Reaction?!?! I was laughing at "Reconquests" and wanted to weep by Phil Kelly...

I know a lot of people have been calling for/waiting on a Scouring series (including me) but have we had even one word from BL/GW that such a series is on the way or even being considered?

If it does I think it is on hold until HH 3.0 is released, as rumours has it on its way.

As far as I'm aware GW/BL never confirmed it. All we have is speculation and one or two rumours at most.

As for HH 3.0, I think that's gonna release with the Age of Ruin Anthology.

If they aren't working on the Scouring, aren't finishing trilogies, are finishing Dawn of Fire with the next book, aren't announcing anything else, etc

Then I once again ask what ARE they doing other than reprinting old novels in a LE format

Good news:

There is a new release going up for preorder next Saturday, and it's a surprisingly quick turnaround from announcement to release

Bad news:

It's Phil Kelly's latest Farsight novel....

Everyone is so excited, that no one even said anything that it's on preorder next week...
