Upcoming BL Stuff 2025

Well im pleasantly surprised these releases were not the same as before where the Website lags a little bit but I was able to get what I wanted and things sold out in about 30 minutes as opposed to 2 minutes.  Still we have that last siege of Terra book to come...

I have the Era of Ruin standard hardcover on pre-order on Amazon Canada. I was happy to grab a Special Edition copy of Fulgrim the Perfect Son today. I think the trick is to start refreshing 6 minutes before it officially appears as an announcement on WarCom. I was refreshing at 10:54 am Mountain Time on Warhammer.com and was able to place an order for the Fulgrim novel Special edition. At 11:40 am Mountain time, the standard hardcover was being shown as "Sold Out Online" and the Special edition was showing as "Temporarily Out of Stock".

Any idea what this is referring to?

Mike Vincent fell in love with Warhammer while peering over his friend’s shoulder at a copy of White Dwarf when he was nine years old. When not writing he spends as much time as possible around a campfire in the woods, with his wife and his dog. His work for Black Library includes the Night Lords novel The Remnant Blade, and the short stories ‘The Vengeful Dead’, ‘Exterminator’ and ‘Blades of Atrocity’.

It's from ebook ‘Blades of Atrocity’. Is this another instances of BL just putting info about upcoming books in now published stuff? This wouldn't be the first time they "messed up" like this.

Has to be. As you said, not the first time this happens; they even spoiled an unannounced release with the ads inside their ebooks before.

Mike is also the only author aside from Jude Reid in this batch who has previously published works. Reid's story is a straight tie-in to her Fulgrim novel (the protagonist is the first character showing up in the novel extract, which is up now!). Doesn't surprise me that the non-debut authors have shorts setting up for their upcoming novels; that's a staple for these weekly releases at this point anyway.

TO BE CONCLUDED IN THE END AND THE DEATH VOLUME TWO

No, I'm not still mad. Why do you ask?

I'm working through Blood of the Imperium. I haven't seen much chat about it. Most of the stories so far haven't done much for me. I skipped the long and hungry road by Adrian Tchaikovsky as I've already read it, but it is excellent.

There was one story so badly written that I couldn't get past the first page. I'm afraid to mention it on the off-chance the author is a frater here. Maybe it gets better, but the prose was awful and it was packed with clichés from the jump. I haven't seen anything else by the author before.

The "trick" has always been that the release is actually happening 5min before the offical time. Thats why I always hit the refreseh at exactly 10:55.  When you enter the website at 11:00 you are most definetly way too late for the highest sort after items, such as the LE of SoT etc.

Both Blades of Atrocity and The Vengeful Dead were quite good I thought, pumped to hear that the author is getting a shot at a full novel. It will obviously be quite difficult to top ADB for best Night Lords fiction but if it comes even decently close, I will be a happy camper.

Can't seem to find him on social media. I would have asked him if I could.

Why would that be stupid?

because the Siege of Terra limited editions preorder releases kept crashing the site and being overloaded, so doing it at the same time as a high-demand miniatures release won't go well. Only the scalpers will win

It seems like we’ve had a number of titles leaked recently, so I thought I’d provide a list of everything we officially/unofficially know about:

Fulgrim: The Perfect Son - up for preorder

Era of Ruin - June - Amazon

The Silent King - July - Amazon

Void Exile - August - Amazon

Grotsnik: Da Mad Dok - July - Amazon (special edition maybe sooner?)

RS Wilt Scions novel - September -Amazon

Ferren Areios novel - September - Amazon

The Remnant Blade? - leaked in recent short story collection - date unknown

Richard Swan novel - mentioned in his recent AMA - date unknown

I think that about covers everything? In my opinion it’s not an overwhelmingly exciting slate, but there’s a lot to look forward to.

I'm interested in quite a few of them and will try to check them out. But at this point, there's not much that would really excite me. Unless they release more Crime, a new Fehervari novel, finally a Jake Ozga book, or bring back Josh Reynolds to BL.

I'm not even interested in Scouring or whatever else they might announce. Give me standalones or trilogies by a single author. BL has failed too many times now to deliver a coherent multi-author series that doesn't turn into a turd.
