Overseer Consul and Imperialis Militia Infantry Squads: how many squads in the retinue?

Not sure, but after reading the rules...it looks like, yes, you can up 9.

At least, at first glance. But 9 squads as retinue, even for Imperial Militia standards, it's a bit too much in my opinion.

Should be nine, yes.

Alas, Milita Infantry Squads are kinda pointless since you do not get to select Provenances for them, since you don't have a Force Commander.

As opposed to Solar Aux Rifle Sections, who get their respective Legiones Auxilia trait (which will be useful most of the time).

Hi, title says it all really - does the 'strength in number' rule apply to the 3 imperialis militia infantry squads option for the retinue, making it up to 9 squads big?

The way more important question is: do you really want to buy, build and paint 180 models?

Well, in my case I'm interested in this question. I have lot of Cultists and Necromunda gangers...

Naaah I would go for a more uniform look.

I'd go with one of these:

Cheap, look good enough and are all easy to paint.
