jimbo1701
Hi all. I have a small primaris deathwatch army and want to update it with a handful of models for 10th edition (infernus marines, jump intercessors and a few phobos marines) I originally used the deathwatch sprue left pads for my Tacitus marines and some gravis and Phobos pads from (I think) pop goes the monkey. I need a few of each pads as the bits box is running low and wondered if people could share where best to get them from. A cursory eBay / Etsy search hasn’t really revealed much and PGTM is horrendously expensive for the sale of a few pads. Thanks. lansalt
https://www.warhammer.com/en-WW/shop/Deathwatch-Upgrades-2020 Edit: If you mean right shoulder pads, I'd get one of those decal sheets with assorted chapter icons, or even from other games for extra variety. They're cheaper and easier than sculpted shoulder pads Edited December 22, 2024 by lansalt Gamiel and jimbo1701 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384871-where-to-get-deathwatch-left-shoulder-pads-for-primaris/#findComment-6082308 Share on other sites
Wormwoods
I got mine from ShapeWays, which... Yeah, RIP to a real one. There's always the 'find your local 3D printer pervert and ask' option, worked for my BFG fleet. jimbo1701 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384871-where-to-get-deathwatch-left-shoulder-pads-for-primaris/#findComment-6082309 Share on other sites
m_r_parker
Honestly - I think you're best getting the Deathwatch upgrade sprue from GW. The MkVII pads are the same size as the MkX, so fit the Infernus and Jump Intercessors. Judging by the Index GW released for Grotmas, they're also using the same MkVII / MkX pads for the Phobos armoured Marines. From what I can tell the old-school Terminator Pads on the sprue are a great match for Heavy Intercessors / Agressors / Eradicators. Ironically they're now too small for the newer Terminator kit. jimbo1701 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384871-where-to-get-deathwatch-left-shoulder-pads-for-primaris/#findComment-6082378 Share on other sites
jimbo1701
Thank you for the replies folks. Yes it was for left shoulder pads, I guess mainly the ones I am stumped for are the Phobos ones. I think I will get the upgrade sprue for the other bits in the interim. Wouldn’t it be great to get an upgrade sprue next edition in the same style as the ba / da ones. I think I heard a rumour a while back that Deathwatch are getting an actual Killteam Release, so if that turns out to be true, it'll probably be Primaris scale and thus be a source of proper Primaris shoulder pads. jimbo1701 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384871-where-to-get-deathwatch-left-shoulder-pads-for-primaris/#findComment-6082544 Share on other sites
