Yeah that can be quite exciting!

I think we will only get the one model and his "multipart release" is basicly just him hoping(which we all do)

But some kind of Chaplain is always welcome!

I'm going to keep my expectations to one model. If it's more than that I'll be exstatic, but has any other faction, that hadn't already been updated and gotten a fair bit, gotten more than a single thing this wave?

Our own Terminator Chaplain would be amazing and if it's related to the navigator skull I could see it having some sort of anti psyker role, maybe our release will be one kit but multiple models like a Command squad or something. I'm glad we are at least getting rumors, about time we got some form of preview!

I have quite a lot of chaplains already, but there's always room for more, especially if its BT flavored, but I would prefer general units more, such as a swordbrethren terminator kit. It would get more use than a specific character.

 

Even so, the single character model remains the most likely outcome. I just hope we can see some reveals sooner rather than later

Only thing I took away from this, is new character and a wishlist.

If his vanguard veterans rumor turns out to be true we may have fun tools soon.

Just read the new SW codex. Some new design concepts may be applied on us later, e.g. detachment about "having more units/models in combat than targets".

 

WGBL gets new rules and is no longer a "skin" unit with copy-paste rules. That is good. Marshall and Castellan should also receive that.

Starting to feel anxious about some tangible news for us. I realize one of the reasons is old habits and doubts that we will in fact get anything. This post releasewave release might also establish release patterns going forward. 

 

We were ignored for so long im anxious to see proof that this pattern wont reasser itself and that we will in fact see additional occasional releases here on out essentially

Im absolutely positive we will get a model and a few detachments. But nothing more. Im just sad that we have heard/seen nothing yet. I wanna see what we get man!

My brain understands therell at least be something. But old defensive mechanisms are hard to shake without visual proof. Come on GW, reveal it already. We know you want to.

In my humble opinion BT should get a reliquary carried by cenobyte servitors just like the one pictured in the 4th eddition codex. 

Ruleswise it will give access to the relic bearers special rule something similar to the 9th eddition index. Something like the triumph of saint Catherine.

I think it is uneven for the black templars that the other codex compiant chapters have so many chapter specific units. Dark angels and space wolves had already enough and also got new units. BT have the same 5 units (Helbrecht, Grimaldus, Emperor's Champ, crusader aquads and sword brethren) for 20 + years. I do not count the multi-meltas on the vehicles or the small differences on marshal and castellan.

Triump of saint katherine is such a cool model, i would definitely want a BT flavored one based on that 4th edition codex artwork.

 

Something new would be really cool, but that could still be something familiar... say "Swordbrethren Knight Terminators" with new and unique gear.

 

If there's something completely new, I think it would probably be a vehicle, but I'm keeping my expectations in check. A character is still the most likely but I hope it'll be more than that.

And the new model is to be revealed as a new ancient. Had hoped for something terminator related, but damn that's a sweet looking ancient.

 

 

Feels like he'll be a great source of bits as well. Banner variants reuse some bits, but im thinking the shield can be mounted on vehicles if you go with sword and orc skull. New great helm variant is great. The more styles the merrier. I wonder if he'll have unique rules?

 

Valrak had previous murmured something about possibly multiple units, but I'll cautiously theorize this guy may be it this time.

He'd better has some BT compatible rules like "You can attach this model to one of the above units even if one Marshall, Helbrecht or Grimaldus model has already been attached to it".

Yeah im just not sold on that. Releases so far has been one model or *refresh". I dont believe a release as been 2 hqs. 

I will not complain though. Especially if we get even more.

Agreed, but I wonder what he has mistaken for a new Chaplain? Perhaps there's a regular Primaris Chaplain in the new Combat Patrol; I know the studio has one with bits from the BT upgrade sprue so he could have seen that photographed. It would kind-of fit his description of the model as looking like a Chaplain or Judiciar, since it wears the same type of overcoat as the Judiciar.

I think something like this is what the rumors are about, a kit bashed character that MAYBE has bits of a new upgrade sprue, it wouldn't be the first time something like this gets mistaken for a new model and giving us new bits to go with the new vanilla marine units would go a long way to make them feel a bit more ours, I just dont see BT getting two new HQs.

You are totally right! I guess anythings possible! I do hope though we get are squad to then! But im still happy if we just get this one!
