fairly sure that was just a repackage

They did get an update with the new edition/refresh. Here's the article about them when all the new models got shown off.

On the left the previous sculpts and the right the new ones that came with 10th

I'd swear genestealers got a new kit with 10 instead of 8 and new options

Not quite sure what to think, I don't dislike it and will probably get one, but at the same time it doesn't really feel a £20 anniversary special miniature to me. 

 

Then again, quite a few recently have been like that, with basically being a slightly altered pose and small adjustments....the Kroot last year or the 2 Votann, for example.

Can confirm, the new stealers are significantly better and more interesting than the older sculpts. They come 10 models to a pack.

Now all I need is a new brood Lord to go with them.

The brood lord isn't that old? or am I wrong on that one? or do you just not like it's pose?

Still need to get some of these. I used to have a set if the ones from 2nd/3rd edition kicking around somewhere.

I don't need them to design a new one, I need to get around to buying one. I'm old in collecting. I have not bought the new brood Lord yet, I have the metal one, which dates me a bit.

The current brood lord model was released as "The Spawn of Cryptus" in 2014 as part of the death storm set. It's old by now, and not the best model. The genestealer patriach is far superior!
