No he isn’t.  The Custodes have functioning jet bikes.

I’d rather they didn’t make a new version because the original version of Corvex is a thing a of beauty, and an update with the current marine vehicle aesthetic is bound to produce something markedly inferior.

It's really NOT a thing of beauty. The sculpt hasn't aged well and is 100% in need of a redo.

Yes, it is certainly in need of an upscaling.

However, Dark Angels already had their stuff for this edition, so he can be saved for the 11th Ed release, right?

The rest of the Rumoured stuff is for Chapters contained in the Base LSM codex so having ANOTHER Dark Angels character in with this seems out of place.

Lmao, it's aged spectacularly, to the point where the dawn eagles borrowed a whole lot of design queues from it rather from the gyrfalcon or scimitar.

It's only issue is that it clashes with the very utilitarian primaris design, but that's an issue with DA and their extremely gothic angle as a whole. Maybe the scale, but that's also not an issue with the sculpt and goes back to GW trying to sell everyone a new space marine collection.

I feel sorry for you mate.  It’s one of the most beautiful metal models GW has produced.  So good they reused many elements for the dawneagle.  The detailing on Sammael himself is superb also.

A Dave Thomas masterpiece.

It doesn't even matter how it looks. It is finecast, and therefore is an abomination.

My one is metal

Lysander YES

At last Imperial Fists get something. The best Chapter finally gets the best character in plastic. Suck on it everyone else. Your colours are weak, our yellow is strong.

Jet bike character. If it Isn’t Samael it will be ridiculous.

Marines already had their stuff for this edition, they can wait for 11th

I always thought Sammael's ride looks like he jumped on one of those coin-op children's rides (the kind you see at the mall) but he's riding one that's in the shape of a miniature Battlefleet Gothic cruiser.

Like instead of a miniature space shuttle, he's riding the 40k equivalent.

Ah, but you see.

That was the Ultramarines release.

Imperial Fists, Salamanders, White Scars, Ravenguard and Iron Hands still haven't got their releases yet.

An entire Primogenitor Chapter is supposed to be 'mounted theme', but has no mounted special character. To me that should take precedence over yet another DA unique, although I agree a new Sammael (or Ravenwing Grand Master) would be cool to see.

Fixed that for ya ; ) It's kinda unfortunate that Ravenwing and Deathwing are both so cool, and yet it's seemingly impossible to get substantial (dedicated) releases for both within a single edition.

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.

Space Marines should get more releases. Their popularity bankrolls everyone else's toys.

We should have more releases. There should be more things specific to the special chapters. Salamanders should have a few releases too. There should be units specific to Imperial Fists etc

Also, I love the Imperial Fists so the more we get the better. For The Emperor!

The only Space Marine chapter that should be complaining are Space Wolves, who only have a single refreshed special character model in Ragnar Blackmane. Codex chapters having TWO Primaris characters a piece to Wolve's one? If this Space Marine release comes out before the Wolves get their refresh, I riot.

Space Wolves players complaining that the Codex Locked Chapters finally get a single additional toy to play with just because they didn't get their Massive Range Update sooner is really entitled behaviour.

Alleged massive range update. Birds actually in hand: One character model that released 5 years ago. Even Dark Angels and Blood Angels got Dante and Azrael in advance to their full range refresh, to say nothing of DA getting the Lion. No matter how you cut it, having to go last sucks, having to watch peers get new toys while you get nothing also sucks. I have been really patient all things considered.

Ew, no. I'm painting AoS Stormcast while I wait.

I don't want to buy models from last century, thank you very much.

You are Codex Space Marine players, you get a new fleet of models every edition. Quit pretending you're not the spoiled ones.

If you are a Divergent Marine Chapter, you also get a fleet of new models every edition: The exact same wave Base LSM do.

and you get another wave later on as well.

Also remember that not everyone who uses Base LSM plays Ultramarines, so for those people (myself included) we literally have a single model, an upgrade sprue with no rules and a genericised Detachment to represent our entire army.

Need to point out, technically Grey knights players aren't spoiled spacemarine players.

I dont know if they exist though  i hardly see them mentioned among these kind of discussions.

We don't actually know Space Wolves are last, just that Russ is coming later in 10th than their 10th Ed wave.

As for the "massive range update", I do in fact mean:

HQs:

  • New Logan Grimnar
    • No sleigh, but has wolves on his base
  • New Njal Stormcaller
  • New Arjac Rockfist
  • New Wolf Priest
  • Multipart space wolf lieutenant

Others

  • NewGrey Hunters

  • New Blood Claws

  • New Wolf Terminators

  • New Wolf Scouts

    • has fenrisians wolves embedded in it.

  • Some sort of elite Guard Unit (like a Blade Guard

    •  has fenrisians wolves embedded in it.

Both of my armies combined have 8 kits specific to them in total (6 from TSons, 1 and an Upgrade Sprue from White Scars) and here comes SW getting 10 kits in a wave you're trying to tell me isn't "massive" by comparison.

Ok but should I as an ynnari and corsairs player ( exodites too whenever they come out , but i have a huge converted force growing since 2nd edition ) say that I have only 4 kits ? That doesn't make sense to count it like that right?

Not saying that people shouldn't want more for their chosen flavor or whatever but there is a lot of unnecessary "I dont count that " going on there, needs a little bit of perspective.

( I lie, I also have quite some daemons for a daemon army.. oh wait )

Kor'sarro Khan and the Upgrade Sprue are the only kits actually sold under the "White Scars" heading as opposed to everything else sold under the Space Marines heading.

Likewise, while Thousand Sons also have Tzaangors, Tzaangor Shaman, Tzaangor Enlightened and the Mutalith Vortex Beast, 3 of those (The Tzaangors) are sold under the "Disciples of Tzeentch" heading and the MVB still have a Warhammer Fantasy Battles logo on it's instruction manual.

Only Magnus, Ahriman, Exalted Sorcs, Infernal Master, Rubrics and SoTs are actually sold under the Thousand Sons heading, with everything not already mentioned being sold under Chaos Space Marines.

Nothing listed in the Space Wolves rumour wave has any indicators of being sold under a non-Space Wolves heading, so that's 10 fresh SW specific units for them.

Based on whats been in blind boxes the non codex compliant chapter characters and even Mephiston sold poorly

Hopefully thatll be different this time as theyre terminators not primaris
