Not saying that people shouldn't want more for their chosen flavor or whatever but there is a lot of unnecessary "I dont count that " going on there, needs a little bit of perspective.

( I lie, I also have quite some daemons for a daemon army.. oh wait )

I feel I should clarify that the above stated method of counting kits is how I always count them, so hopefully that explains any weirdness with kit numbers I post.

Also re:Daemons

If, as some rumours are saying, the merger over here comes with new Daemon units as well, whether those are [Cult Marine] or [Monogod] units will depend entirely on if they use 40k or AoS headings for the boxes.

I.e. if a new Plastic Fateskimmer released alongside the TSons Codex, but it's got Disciples of Tzeentch on the box, then it's a DoT kit.

We don't actually know Space Wolves are last, just that Russ is coming later in 10th than their 10th Ed wave.

Well no, we don't *know* that Russ is coming or that the wolves are getting anything more than a single model with their codex. We strongly suspect based on moderately reliable rumours and predictions informed by past actions, but that's not the same as knowing.

We also do know that they're the last of the divergent chapters to get their upgrade, seeing as the others have already gotten (at least the beginning of) theirs.

As to your speculated list of updates, there's no guarantee at all that all of those are getting upgraded in this release, and every chance that some of the ones that do come will be "upgraded" the way that Death Companies kit was, which is to say a bare minimum upgrade sprue while ridding it of any character.

All Space Marine players are spoiled, why are we fighting over who's more spoiled within that? Go paint some xenos for a bit.

Without the Space Marines the rest of the range probably wouldn't exist.

Black Templars haven't gotten anything in 10th yet either.

Grey Knights too.

I wasn't sure if the (beginning of) meant Black Templars which pretty much kick-started this process off in 9th edition with their substantial release.

Grey Knights on the other hand...wasn't there a post on the other page about how forgotten they were in this whole discussion?

Though they will be left waiting again, no refresh is on the cards according to rumours.

If you are a Divergent Marine Chapter, you also get a fleet of new models every edition: The exact same wave Base LSM do.

and you get another wave later on as well.

Maybe send that feedback to GW then. No one here IS a Divergent Marine Chapter. We are all just people who choose to collect miniatures. We do not become Dark Angels in the 41st millennium (or another Chapter if you prefer to be wrong) just because we collect the miniatures.

Majority rule and preferences aren't always the best :D

Not always, but we also have to recognise certain realities.

GW is a business and one of their model lines sell more than everything else combined.

The only Space Marine chapter that should be complaining are Space Wolves, who only have a single refreshed special character model in Ragnar Blackmane. Codex chapters having TWO Primaris characters a piece to Wolve's one? If this Space Marine release comes out before the Wolves get their refresh, I riot.

A combination of an already existing upgrade sprue and an already existing kit?

We are forgetting their lieutenant however!

 Unfortunately.

... Are you deliberately missing the point? They've gotten their major Primaris refresh already, they were infact the first to get it. No one was talking about only 10th edition.

I apologise for assuming that the discussion in the thread for a rumour about Space Marines getting another wave in 10th edition would be about Space Marines in 10th edition.

And if we listened to the majority, we wouldn't have gotten the vastly superior Primaris Marines and continued with Manlet Marines instead.

Black Templars, Dark Angels, and Blood Angels have refreshed already, then yes, Space Wolves are in fact going last. The alleged list of refresh models coming is irrelevant - they're just rumours. I'm not contented by theoretical models.

How many people are choosing to misread and apply out of context comments?

Indy very clearly wrote your quote in the context of their place in the 10th ed release cycle. Not in the hen pecking order of who got a refresh first.

Going back to the topic of rumoured additional space Marines for the Base LSM Codex, what parts of the Generic Marine lineup are we still missing units for?

Besides the obvious answers of Multi-part Suppressors and Outriders.

Besides those two units GW could do new Assault Terminators, Vanguard Veterans, and even a Primaris Devastator Squad( the latter seems unlikely to me since there are so many new Primaris single weapon squads like hellblasters, infernos and desolators). Centurions are also not updated.

Additionally they could bring out new generic character models on bike(captain, librarian) or with jump packs (librarians, chaplains).

There are also all the tracked vehicles such as vindicator or whirlwind.

Plus the flyers, small or big.

And the drop pod.

Not really missing units but models that may benefit of a modernization/reinterpretation.

I’d love to get an update on the land speeder. Pure nostalgia for me as I started this hobby with the third edition starter set when I was a kid.

I think Valrak had mentioned previously this will be a more “fast attack themed” release. If so, I’ll be all over it. Vanguard vets, multi part bikes, jump packed chaplain or librarian, land speeders and throw in assault terminators just for good measure.
