Thanks brother! I’m glad to hear it’s conveying what I wanted haha. After so many starts and stops on this I was worried I lost the plot a bit.

For the month of February, I, Khulu, vow one WS rhino:

 

Struggling with hobby time so I think a Rhino might be easier than finishing all the freehand on my plasma squad from January but if I have time I want to finish that, too.

Didn't quite get anything to complete in actual January, but did get two of the Baneblades finished today. The other two are lagging behind because I can't paint that much trim in one go at that scale without my eyes going fuzzy

I mentioned earlier I was building models this month, here they are,

 

which you may notice is in the spot I usually take my pics, but none the less, in the tidy-up I found I had some Scibor Custodes, and particularly, a counts-as Gulliman Calgar I think, so I stuck on a GW Custodes helm on and painted it. I feel....meh about the model,

 

and a WIP of Ezekiel, the blue of the armour is pretty much done, but lots of woek still to be done, honestly a little aprehensive about freehanding the banner...

I’d say it’s more like a counts-as Marneus Calgar. Looks good

I, bouargh embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of February pledge to complete a Datasmith and 2 Kastelans by month's end.

 

 

Truth is that we load the Container for our moving on Valentine's day, so it leaves me barely 9-10 natural days to paint these lads... It may looks like crazy thing keeping hobbying while we have a full house to empty + all the associated admin stuff to resolve 5twice/at both ebnds of the frontier) but it is also a moment of disconnection to recompose oneself for the next day... And Robots are easy to paint (almost kinda fast fashion....).

Well last month really didn't go to plan.  I am finding I have less time and even less enthusiam for painting at the moment.  Of course as soon as I pick up a brush and start I really enjoy it but the old black dog is making it hard for me to get there. Hobbying is my escape from a lot of my issues and it seems the issues have finally clued on.

 

I must say the level and quality of paainting on here is improving year after year and I love coming back to see what awesome things people have come up with.

 

@jaxom Skin is something I am trying to experiment with.  I need some darker and warmer skin tones I think.  As for the leather.... lets see if I can remember...  I think it was:

 

Undercoat Grey

Heavy Drybrush Dawnstone

Zenithal drybrush White

Snakebite Leather Contrast

1:1 Snakebite Leather Contrast/Water or Medium again

Drybrush of Zandri Dust

Edge highlight/scratches with Zandry dust.

Agrax Earthshade wash on endges and belts etc I wanted darker.

 

I think that was it...

 

Anyway, Feburary is a whole new month.  Lets try to start it off on a good note:

 

I, Brother Argent, vow for the month of Feburary to paint 1x Repentia and 1x Arcoflagellant by months end.

 

Two quick and easy models to start things off.  Going to need to get a good crack in this month though to get anywhere near what I want to by years end.  Oh and at some point decide on a Plodding Along Vow.  And get more into my Beat the Backlog challenge.  Can't forget restarting my WIP log....

 

2025 is proving... difficult.

I use AK Wargame Terrain Snow. It can dry thinly to where the dirt will show through or you can pile it up pretty easily. I've been a big fan of the stuff.

No, we leave Spain and go back to France, very close from the Belgium frontier (but french speaking Belgium).  After almost a decade away... going back to motherland is a bit of excitation and a lot of doubts too. I expect a cultural change as, in so many years, things have change (I mean the country changed and I changed too) and I also get a pt of view from the outside on the pros and cons...

 

But I encountered a house finally. After 2 months looking for one. So part of the stuff is already more "secured" than living as a nomad for a while.

Well, was on track to finish before the end of Jan, but Grandad Nurgle decided I was finding it too easy and provided me with some "blessings". So for Feb, I vow to complete January's vow. If its okay with people I won't go to the hassle of posting an update photo, they're basically done so should post a completion hopefully end of this week fingers crossed!
