What are you working on while we wait?

Evening brothers. I know from the topics in this forum that many of you are struggling like me to know what to work on while we wait for the announcement of our new models later this year. I thought it would be helpful for us to share ideas and maybe gain some inspiration from each other on projects to keep us occupied until the rout returns.

 

 

My latest idea has been a conversion for Njal Stormcaller in cataphractii plate. Personally I prefer the design to the standard armour and think it is much more fitting for my style with the wolves. I am not sure I will be getting any of the new scale kits for terminators so they are fairly safe models for me.

 

As a side note, hand carving runes into armour is extremely demanding! Anyone have any tips to make it easier?

Conversion’s looking good!

 

right now I’ve got a pile of grey Tyranids perched precariously on various flat surfaces in my office. Between the holidays and a VERY active 18-month old kid assembling models is about all I have bandwidth for right now. Plus I’ve got some fantasy/medieval stuff to work on as well. Reach exceeding grasp at this point, lol

I am working on a Heroes of the Company squad for my Wolf Lord. Not sure how competitive it is but there are some lovely models to convert and make properly wolfy.

I’m awaiting the space wolves release with interest, because I’ve always liked them. Never actually had an army though. Sorely tempted to get Ragnar because the model is awesome and I’m doing that thing where I’ve just finished reading a book series (Space Wolf) and now I want EVERYTHING in it…

 

I recently kitbashed some infernus marines with wolf bits though, just because they were spare with Combat Patrol, and why not…

I am tempted to get the SW Combat Patrol, but only because Combat Patrol is a standalone game and Throryk is fairly wolfy with his enhancements and stratagems. 
 

I will wait to see if GW acknowledges that there will be Wolf Scouts, Long Fangs, Grey Hunters, Blood Claws, and Wolf Guard who choose to cross the Rubicon Primaris and NOT forget every single thing they learned in n their lives about fighting as SW to fight as generic Primaris.
