My two cents is that it looks great and you don't need to add any more.

By the time you have paint on there it will be plenty busy and you can always add a painted if required. On those front edges/ upper part, I'd be thinking of a heavily chipped effect - base with a metal and then sponge with colour to give a battleworn effect, the runes would then be an off-set colour to stand out.

But that is just me - it's your model, and it is gorgeous in its gribbly glory!

The so-called Imperium of Man, that mouldering carcass animated by the beating of a dead gold heart, claims humanity is the rightful and sole heir to terra, and this grants them right across the worlds. But the Pointed Truth is given to us by the Great Horned Rat and His messengers. So it is said, so we have listened.

Humanity did not spread alone, for the peaceful and loyal rats, our ancestors, were with them every step of their dominion. We lived with them in their cities, on their farms, in their homes, and on every ship the rat was there. But when they starved, they ate us. When plague spread, they blamed us. And in their laboratories they experimented on us, mutating our bodies or twisting our minds, all to build the science that lead them to the stars. Look upon the fur of our scientist-scavengers for the proof, bleached by the workings of man!

Yet they worship the greatest of their scientists, without care for the sacrifices he made of our flesh, and seek once again our extermination! But we are clever! More clever than man-things. More clever than elves and orks and all those that walk the worlds or fly the stars. We take all that is built and learn from it. We turn the weapons that would destroy us against their creators, improve upon them, for we are not afraid of sacrifice in the pursuit of the science they too taught us, without their knowing.

And we have found brethren through the stars, for the rat is ever-present, on every world humanity met, we found our kin. We, the Skaven , the inheritors of the rat, are the true inheritors of all. Not just Terra, but the whole of the galaxy is our right, and the time has come! Rise, feel the hunger within you! Show that we have endured all that they have subjected us to and become from it the worst they could imagine! Return to them their mutation and radiation! Return their needles and blades! Return their manipulation and isolation! Return their poisons and plagues! You are survivors, and that is the right granted by the Great Horned Rat! Crumble every edifice, destroy these would-be oppressors, and devour all that they hold dear!

I can see arguments for and against really. Keeping it suggests a connection of sorts to the engineer, but a more unique one (or slightly better than everyone beneath him!) also works.

waititng to see that guys painted

Both, both is good.

And paint is coming Soon(TM). I'm waiting for the new knight to come in so I can create a crawling mining machine from the fellbore, and I also have 30-40 infantry to do (cries), but then will be painting everything in a huge batch for Call to Arms this year.

Look what crawled up onto my work mat!

thoughts on the mole machine/ drill-beetle?

I think it looks like it could fit all of its bulk behind the drill for tunnelling reasons while also continuing the vaguely arthropodic structures of many of my vehicles. The weapon I imagine to be some sort of short range high energy weaponry, for aid in mining like mining lasers but also that have adjustable muzzles for turning it into a less individually lethal but wise angle spray for breaching type maneuvers.

Also, the ruminator drill goes in and out without being glued, which is a neat play feature.

Ok, I think this one's fine, but I may create an ai controller mini to attach to infantry units that might use this to enter the battlefield. I'll also need to create a hole sculpt for it to dig out of when I get to basing, but I'm not super concerned about that just yet.

Anything missing? (Maybe spikes at the bracket behind the claws would make sense, though most other sticking out bits I am avoiding due to the logistics of a tunneling machine.)

The little guy looks excellent! Maybe a small greenstuff Rune on each side of the hull?

yeah, I keep going back and forth on it. The idea is that the legs fold up on the sides of the hull while tunneling, but it does seem slightly bare at times.

I could also put some stuff below, the bottom is pretty plain.

Sef, Archwarplock Engineer. I like the idea of paranoid engineers just not stopping working on their armor, dwarfed by the weight of it. Let me know if you feel it needs anything more (even though I recognize it is already a lot).

And finally finished sculpting claws (barring any more falling off)!

(Once these are done I'm probably ready with minis for call to Arms, though I was tempted to add another 8 to bring up to a round multiple of 13. Was thinking some sort of teleportation tech could be fun, and maybe some more smaller walkers and controllers. Maybe also a specific controller for the mole machine)
