My two cents is that it looks great and you don't need to add any more.

By the time you have paint on there it will be plenty busy and you can always add a painted if required. On those front edges/ upper part, I'd be thinking of a heavily chipped effect - base with a metal and then sponge with colour to give a battleworn effect, the runes would then be an off-set colour to stand out. 

But that is just me - it's your model, and it is gorgeous in its gribbly glory!
