Interesting debate came up in a game today.

 

When a purifier squad deepstrikes in, can they themselves use the Hallowed Beacon strategem on themselves.  

 

I argued they cannot since it is not hallowed ground till they are on the board.   My opponent argued they could since purifiers are always in hallowed ground.   

 

RAW I can see it either way actually.

RAW I would have to say no. Hallowed Ground says the area of 6” of the purifier squad but If the Purifiers were deep striking it would not count until unit is on the table, like you said. 

I'm not into the playing aspect anymore, been years actually and I have literally only woken up 10 mins ago, so apologies if I'm just plain wrong lol. But I would say that they cannot use ot on themselves, for the reasons stated above. But could immediately use it on another unit as soon as they are set up though
