Hey, I just want to make sure that I understand this correctly.

The scout rule mentions that the unit can't change on the first turn. If a terminator squad is in a spartan and they are given scout. Assuming the squad & spartan scout move, can the terminators get out and charge on turn one.

My understanding is no, as the unit is the terminators and not the spartan that the scout rule refers to but I can't find anything to confirm this. Am I wrong?

Scout transfers from attached IC to the unit, if no other unit-specific rule says otherwise.

Scout then applies to a units dedicated transport.

None of the above changes something about the Scout rule though, which states:

'A unit that makes a Scout redeployment cannot Charge in the first Game Turn.'

Second to last sentence, first main paragraph, Scout USR, page 246, AoD Rulebook.

Yeah this is the part that got me. It's the transport that's making the scout move. Not the terminator squad.

I understand that the transport cannot Charge after the scout move but the unit piling out of it was the grey area for me. I figured that the terminators that get out are under the same restrictions, or at least that's what the intent was.

The transport may have made the scout move but the unit inside of it did to, if only to not be left behind.
