After a couple false starts with color schemes that I didn't end up liking or that just took too long to execute, I've settled on a scheme that I think I like, heavily inspired by the Tsarakura.

The Xalitekh are a relatively small dynasty using an especially advanced teleportation matrix to strike at targets throughout the galaxy while keeping the location of their tomb world a closely guarded secret. They act as mercenaries, selling their specialized services to more powerful dynasties in exchange for resources and technology.

Second batch of necron warriors done, finishing off the first unit from the combat patrol.  I did implement a slight change to the scheme, using blue-green instead of black to shade the white face plates.  I like the effect much better, though sadly my camera kind of washes it out.

What a striking colour scheme!

Thank you!  The scheme is in part inspired by the canon tsarakura dynasty (of hierotek circle fame), and in part a streamlined and simplified reimagining of my AoS ossiarch bonereapers scheme:

I love how my obr look, but the scheme is way too slow & effortful, with multiple blends & edge highlights that take /way/ too long for what is meant to be a tabletop army & not a display project.

these youtube videos were particularly helpful for coming up with the xalitekh scheme:

this simple drybrush + contrast wash/glaze technique with just some color swaps is used for both the black and purple ceramic sections of the armor.  the wash/glaze application for the black armor also goes over a silver base for the metalics.

I use this method for the gauss glow, though i go maybe a bit too overboard with it, probably to the detriment of the overall effect.
