Tacitus
Between all the errata, balance changes, and new additions (Grotmas Dets etc) I was thinking it might be time to do an evaluation pass of all the units and characters as some fall in and out of favor with the changes. For example Aggressors lost some ground with the Bomb being disarmed. Then you have the Libbies getting their Det - and the units that can most benefit from those upgrades. HeadlessCross
I think this thread will be live more after the preview tomorrow/Friday, as I do expect they'll preview a couple Loyalist Scum units we can theorycraft with. That said, I think a general thread for Characters then Infantry then Vehicles then Detachments is the way to go about it. With what you said specifically so far though: 1. Aggressors were only half the problem, as Eradicators got a huge benefit from the enhancement as well. I don't see the latter going down in cost but Aggressors are definitely tipping between fine and overcosted. I think they could get a 2 to 5 point cut per model and nobody would bat an eye. 2. I have been having a ton of fun with Librarius. I've had my fair run with a Crimson Fists one and am looking to try a Salamanders one soon. Since the Oath chance I have been liking my Speeder Hammers a lot, and Vulkan WOULD help those. You did get me thinking about the Hailstrike. At that point it wouldn't be too hard to get To Hit +1 Rerollable, +1 to Wound, and -1AP - Basically everything about the opponent is one pip worse. The Hammerstrikes, yes. I've fallen more out of favor with the Thunderstrike since the targets you want the +1 to wound on might already be the Oath target. I like Hailstrikes as a hard counter to mass infantry skew but that's a rare need.
