The codex literally says they’re almost 100% codex astartes compliant.

the biggest divergence is the reclusiam and apothecarion being on the same level.

The biggest divergence is all those crazy goths all in black locked in a tower above and beyond the 1000 marine limit.

You also didn't answer my question.  If everyone knows you murdered a man, are you not still a murderer?  If everyone knows you stole a car, are you not still a car theif?   If everyone knows you diverged from the Codex, are you not still divergent?

I mean, they’re not battle brothers, and they’ve now been dead for a few hundred years now at this point in the timeline…

every chapter except maybe the UM have some divergence. So by your logic only girlyman’s children are compliant.

the codex literally says they’re compliant, and you’re still arguing. You’re wrong, accept it, get over it.

youre so clueless you can’t even get a good sarcastic description of the amareans. They’re not goths, not even remotely. That would be like every DA ever. The amareans are vampires or you could have just said mutants.

every chapter has brothers who are no longer capable of serving in combat roles that are outside of the chapter’s count, because they’re brothers but they’re no longer battle brothers. So there’s plenty of precedent of keeping brothers who are not capable of being active in combat operations within the chapter, and it’s completely compliant with the codex astartes.

who knows they’re divergent?
just because you say something doesn’t make it true.

Just accept the facts, GW describes them as codex compliant.

If it were me, I’d mean that we, outside the fictional universe, all know; while those inside do not. So it’s a secret, but open to us.

Ive been working on a write up about the Codex Astartes one and off for a few weeks. Its fascinating how historiographically accurate it is.
