Methods for Dirt/mud effect, fire effect, or blood effect?

Are you wanting info on how to do bases or for to apply the effects on the minis themselves?

For dust on bases I use weathering powders then seal them in with isopropyl alcohol.

Blood I use a mix of blood angels red contrast and cygor brown contrast 1:1. This is for dried blood. Then blood for the blood god technical for wet blood.

Mud, I use rhinox hide then dry brush progressively lighter brown. You can use this method on legs too to represent dried on mud. You could use some typhus corrosion before priming to get a textured effect.

I'm really glad you asked, in fact, you've been asking really good questions.  I use a sponge to create a splatter effect:

You can see it on the Genestealer Patriarch's claws and tail, it's to make it look natural, organic, random.

The trick is you DAB, just up & down, NEVER SMEAR sideways.  You can always add more, but never take away.

The reason is people know Technical paints like Blood For the Blood God exists.  If you paint it on with a brush, every Warhammer player can tell, you painted it on with a brush.  I have seen people do nice effects with thin brushes and a quick stroke...but it still looks painted on.  The splatter tricks the eye.

Edit - correction to the above, it looks painted on UNLESS you're as good a painter as Brother Grotsmasha below, with his recipe.

(Sometimes I do add on more with a brush, like the pool of blood by the dead Space Marine, but keeping the splatter.)

Really glad you asked.  Got a World Eater friend, she doesn't listen to me, she just brushes Blood paint on her guys, it's not as good.

I learned this from my friend Timperial Guard who suggested it for mud, like you say, like on the bottom of tanks.

I tried it, like it's the same sponge effect, but I didn't like it for mud.  Blood is great though.

Instead, for mud, I use that Stirland Mud Texture paint.  I put some on the Marine there, too.  Not as good as the blood.

(For a tank, i also drybrush brown.  It looks like dust and dirt kicked up by a tank's treads, I agree with Brother Dwango.)

Tbh, I'm still not happy with the mud.  The blood, though, with the sponge, I think is really great.

Try it on a sprue.  Next time you basecoat a model, spray the sprue white or something, I cut up a sponge (I use the cheap ones for washing dishes) into triangles for easier handling, it's like a sponge triangle around the length of my thumb, dab up & down.  I do make sound effects while doing it.  It's fast, easy, organic.

I use Duncan's Two Thin Coats effect paints for Blood. He has three, a fresh blood, a dried blood, and a murky Troll blood.

Below is the fresh blood over some dried blood,

Random dirt: Sponge technique.

Blood spatters: Take an old toothbrush, apply colour of dried blood to it (mix of red and brown), draw the head of the toothbrush back and release your hold. Now your dried blood will fly in a random way towards your mini. Although do a few test flings first to make sure that the blood spatters are not too thick.

Honestly, this sounds like a great idea,
