CL_Mission Posted yesterday at 12:40 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:40 PM (edited) The rumour engine for this week is up. It's a trident and could easily fit into any number of GW game systems and the first, obvious thought is Idoneth Deepkin for AoS but if you take a look at their weapons the fitting doesn't really match at all. Although it's not an exact match it looks closer to another recent rumour engine that is more decidedly 40k, it has those rings. Could this trident also be something for Alpha Legion? Edit: Nevermind. @TheMawr has a more probably match in Kharadron Overlords. TheMawr Posted yesterday at 01:12 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:12 PM The first seems to be for AoS (pointed out on tga that the exact small triangle already is on a kit there) ; kharadon overlords, maybe the older one is that too of its a warcry whaler/monsterhunter team. Well Kharadon Overlords are coming up for AoS this year according to their road map, I'll guess we'll find out then. I still think they are so very 40k fitting (their first release at least), when they where released I "speculated" ( not in a its ever going to happen way.) that they could just drop the entire range in a 40k codex and have them be AI automatons that either mimic their creators or a darker mimic the race they destroyed (well its a joined effort ofcourse ) and leave it very ambigious one way or another and it would be a perfect non retconny way to return squats. Could tie in a lot of old ( retconned I think ? ) stuff, like the eldar abandoning the squats in a war against the men of iron, hence the latter holding a grudge against eldar.. however keeping it ambigious again if these guys where servants of those squats in need of help, or where the actual enemy the squats needed help with. ofcourse back then, squats where not an expected return, nor where men of iron for that matters, any elements that make us more expectful of old things returning werent there yet ( BSF and thus men of iron and zoats, Rogue trader box ) anyway its a bit offtopic but it crossed my mind as I was looking over the webstore to see if their style fits any of the many other very 40kish rumor engines ( that seemingly do not fit any rumors nor the roadmap.)
