So this is the latest version of the eternal war missions/scenario I've been working on. There are 5 objectives placed by the players, hopefully thematically/near cool terrain pieces. These are worth 3 victory points each at the end of the game. Each sides leaders are also up for grabs, you get 1 vp for each one you kill, and tank commanders count for this as well. Last game I managed to kill 3 hq's, was pretty fun.

There are 3 possible deployment maps, rolled for only AFTER objectives are down, to help keep things fair and less cynical in terms of objective placement.

There are 4 special rules, the first forces detachments with infiltrate to swap it out for choice of outflank or forward deployment. There's a note allowing tarantulas to be re-deployed for forward deployment, so they can at least be moved a bit outside of deployment zone.

The second just states that break point isn't tracked.

The third gives fleeing detachments that reach the board edge one final chance to attempt to rally before being removed.

The final rule changes infantry march from 3x to 2x and infantry charges to 1x. The fluff explanation being that the battle is taking place on a planet with very high gravity. It doesn't fix combat but hopefully cuts down a bit on the silliness and changes incentives on transports. Ideal point level for this is about 1-1.5k

I've taken off the rule restricting flyers/pods to turn 2 arrival, as well as the rule only allowing overwatch on first fire, but likely going to re-toll that latter and re-add it once fixed.
