I'm juggling two guard regiments. One is steel legion and the other is going to be brimlock dragoons. The camo scheme was kind of inspired by the old paint scheme I found online. I went further and decided to copy Kazakh army chocolate chip camo and the result is pleasing.

I'm not sure what to do for the bases yet. There's a lot of good inspiration on here and I'm thinking of going with urban ruin for these too, I just have a ton of the rubble pieces printed out to use. I'm open to all suggestions and want to try something different though.

Urban can be a lot of work things. Based on the camo scheme I’d go with a desert urban style

Will try something out. I've been using a lot of printed parts from epic basing.

Thanks all. I have a cadia stands box and a combat patrol to work on now, plus the stuff I have printed out. For weaponry, I was under the assumption that the squad leader weapon and the plasma gun counted as the 2 specials. I can make another guy with MGL (grenade launcher) or melta gun too. I'm at the stage of just model making because I truly don't quite understand the game rules yet.

A Sgt’s wargear is completely separate from the wargear the rest of the squad can take.

This is all printed with an official cadian head. Is this ok to use in a regular squad as standard infantry or would it count as a special war gear option?

Looks like a heavy bolter? Cool conversion.

Strictly speaking, it would need to be in a heavy weapons squad. These come in squads of six guys with three heavy weapons, split into three teams of two, each of which share a base. Like this:

I have loads of missile launcher teams that are supposed to be on big bases but I run them in twos on small bases. Casual opponents won’t care and it won’t matter just collecting for your own display but in an event you might want to just stand them in pairs big bases like the above.

Ok awesome thanks for the info. I figured since it was a heavy weapon but not in a deployed stance that it wouldn't need the 50mm base. I'll keep the 2 man crew as is and then of course mount the deployed weapon teams on the larger bases.

These are looking great @huntmaster7!

I noticed that you’ve used T’au heads/skulls on your bases, is this psychological warfare against a regular opponent?

Thanks. I thought the tau stuff worked well with the theme. The new battlefield trophies box has plenty of good heads and helmets for this type of work.
