I am very happy to see anAxiarch model, even if it is surely one of the least useful character for HH; not because of its profile and ruels, but because of how difficult it is to field Secutarii considering the current rules in the army book.

Yet, maybe this will evolve with HH 3.0 if new edition happens soon

This model will probably end up being a proxy Marshall in many AdMech armies. At least in mine. But later.

Design wise, the shield is OK and the overall mini looks fine, even if I doubt this chap wears any armour worth of being called "Titanshard armour": it is really looking like it is armoured vs. the idea of an armour crafted from thick titanic ceramite plates recovered from battle field. I would have imagined an Axiarch being bulkier.

Being made out of resin will also limit the number of gear options. And getting an Axiarch with Shield and Arc-Lance is may be not the most attractive design available in the Army book...

Man this might be my favorite model they've done in a while. Fits right in with the other ad-mech squads based on skittari.

Also gives hope they'll throw out new character models for Solar Auxilia (like the fantastic old command squad).

I think the shield is a shard of a Titan. Kind of looks like warhound toe armour.

Man, something about a hooded robe over armour without a tabard is deeply pleasing.

Lovely model, proxy bait as some have already pointed-out, but I really want to highly the segmented faceplate on the helmet. There is something just really pleasing about the design.

The one shame is that we have never seen Secutarii that have looked anywhere near as nutty as the ones in Abnett's Titanicus (the gene-gorillas with the feathered manes, skull-faces and arms replaced with guns and axes).

Very nice though, not getting Secutarii anytime soon still, but nice.

Interesting that they didnt tease next week's article as they have been in that habit lately it feels like. Hopefully its not a negative indicator...

For my money, I bet they'll do resin Medicae since you have to buy Jovan to get any official models currently.

If we get a 28mm Tallarn splatbook, I wouldn't be surprised if the Tallarn Reborn Marshal gets a profile and model since she's quite prominent in the LI fluff for it.

How are we pronouncing that? Az-e-ark? Az-ark? Axe-e-ark?

In my head it was ACK-see-ark. And then you posed the question and I realize that I have no idea how it's supposed to be pronounced.

Assuming we're taking it from axiarchism, something like a-ksi-ark – a separate short 'ah' at the start, and a hard 'k'-sounding 'ch' (rather than a soft 'ch') at the start of the second syllable and at the end.

Lovely little model, and while I like seeing new Marines, it's nice to have a bit of variety. Lots to like about the pose and armour details, and is notably bulkier and more important-looking than the troops s/he'll be leading. I like servo skulls, but here I think it's a bit distracting. I would have preferred it on the other side, drawing the eye to the spear tip, and not muddying the model's gaze – though its position does make it look more balanced, so perhaps that's why. Would have been nice to have had something a bit more thematic and unique for the skull, however – perhaps an integrated dataslate to follow to get to a fallen Titan or something?

Given the role of the *checks notes* Secutarii Hoplites, I hope we see them translated into proper-sized Heresy Epic-scale at some point. :P

That is a fine model and it's good to see something for Mechanicum (maybe next week something for SA) but it is very frustrating just seeing resin characters again and again. How about some plastic kits GW!
