I’m gonna post individual pictures of each mini here with what info I’ve decided upon for them:

My librarian from when I was still devoted to making Ordo Celestia with Grey Knights. I never actually came up with a name for him.

My second chaplain, a modified Grimaldus. Originally I made him Cornelius Belmondo, the Reclusiarch from my story “The taking of Lutemis” but because of the chains he wears, I think I’m going to repaint parts of him & make him Jeremiah Reinhardt, a character I made who has not appeared in any story. He is the brother of Zephiel Reinhardt & Reclusiarch of the Order of the Crimson Chains. Speaking of…

Here is Zephiel himself from my story “Why?“ wherein he & the Crimson Chains are introduced. He’s actually the first mini I ever bought, the Captain in Gravis Armor. I finally pieced him together & painted him, so I’m very proud of this one. I initially painted him the same gold color that I had planned on using for Ordo Celestia, but after creating the Crimson Chains I decided to go over in with Leviathan Purple, to give him a sort of “dark knight” look. I’ve decided that is the color of that order, they dye their armor dark purple to show that they are “fallen.”

Finally we have my modified Asmodai. I call him Zauriel Weiss, the Master of Sanctity of Ordo Celestia. I still need to paint his necklace, but as you can probably see, I’ve decided on a different color scheme for my faction going forward. The golden armor was nice, but I decided to reserve gold for more “decorative” parts, like halos & Aquila. So their armor is now gonna be metallic grey with gold & purple decals & purple cloth, with the exception of the Crimson Chains who will have dark purple armor & red cloth. His right hand is also magnetized & I gave him a censer as I thought it would look cool. Still need to do some highlights & such.

That’s all for now. I have a few minis in the works; a Cannoness, a Deathwing Knight, an Inner Circle Companion, a Hellblaster marine & a couple of Bladeguard veterans. I also have a BUNCH of minis still on sprue such as a Battle Sister squad, a Cadian squad & several Grey Knights. Not to mention the Sisters of Silence I still haven’t completed & a few unofficial minis I intend to put together. Knowing this hobby I’ll probably have them all done by the rapture!

Anyway, thank you for checking my stuff out & God bless.

I like that you're giving them all background.

You're off to a good start. Can I ask what colour you're using for the light "silver" metallics? (e.g. Zauriel's sword) The reason for asking is that it looks like you're having some coverage issues - I'm wondering if it would be helpful to mixing some Leadbelcher in to increase coverage, and then going over it again with the lighter silver to get a solid coat.

It’s Stormhost Silver layered over Leadbelcher. I actually use Leadbelcher for the “metal parts” of my minis with the Stormhost for blades & bludgeons. Looking at the photos, you’re right that there are several spots where I didn’t quite get the coverage as good as it can be.
