crimsondave
So in lore Balthassar is dead because of a sentence in the 8th codex, correct? What about Turmiel? There was a Space Hulk video game where a librarian got corrupted and killed. Was that the same guy or is Turmiel still around and just not mentioned in the lore since Dark Vengeance? He also appeared in the novel The Eye of Ezekiel (published 5 years after the Dark Vengeance box was released). While it covers an event in the past (fighting against orks on the planet Honoria), Ezekiel sees Spoiler a vision of the future in which Turmiel and him are present in a group led by Azrael and Kaldor Draigo, presumably to rescue Epimetheus. That being said, there are a number of problems with this - among them, Balthazar is also there, and it's not really clear when this operation takes place: this might have been something that happened prior to the return of Guilliman. Furthermore, it's also a demon vision, which even the demon states might be a complete fabrication. To top it all off, CZ Dunn, the author of said novel, has seemingly left GW so we're unlikely to see any follow up to this. Apart from this and the Dark Vengeance stuff, I don't think this character has ever been revisited. Prot
I remember this novelization of the Dark Vengeance releases. Actually I loved the whole story from both sides. The Crimson Slaughter were a very interesting take, and the 'new' DA characters turned out to be great. In my mind they could both be around. It's a real shame sometimes the way GW will have a homerun and then kind of leave it in the wind. crimsondave and Azoriel 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385241-are-balthassar-and-turmiel-alive-or-dead/#findComment-6092833 Share on other sites
