He would be a Blood Angels release, so next edition at the earliest.

Vague possibility that it could come alongside an end of edition campaign, that is how Dante and Mephiston were released afterall. And either Seth or Corbulo seem like the most likely options there.

Of course this does presuppose that there will be an end of edition campaign with associated model released this time around. Which seems historically likey but nothing is guaranteed.

"Corbulo? Of course i know him, he´s me"

You could indeed use The generic sanguinary priest as corbulo. Give him the visions enhancement from LAG and you’re pretty much there.

that said, I’d love it if he got a unique model and rules again.

seth probably deserves that treatment more though, precisely because he isn’t a blood angel

Why can't we just get Rogal Dorn back in 40k? Like literally nothing else is more important or as valuable. Honestly we don't even need other factions. Just make it into Imperial Fists 40,000 and be done with it.

Is he though.

He is missing, presumed dead. He was lost leading an assault on the Chaos flagship, Sword of Sacrilege during the First Black Crusade. All that was recovered was his charred, skeletal hand.

Now I have a theory....

If you're looking for something to rhyme with the events of Pluto, I think it more likely that Omegon was on the Sword of Sacrilege, cut off Dorn's hand, and left it where the Imperium would find it.  Pretending Alpharius' hand is his hand doesn't sound like something Mr. Straight-Laced would do, same with slipping into obscurity or going undercover.  It's not his style.  Remember, this is the guy who was against using assassins to kill Horus before he got to Terra (see: Horus Heresy: Nemesis).

GW will stop making primarchs (in plastic) when they stop making money. Not doing them leaves too much money on the table.

Yeah honestly then new model of the generic Sang Priest is already only barely decorated enough for my tastes, he looks more like a sanguinary Novitiate than a full priest if not for the chalice hanging from his belt, So for the Hight Priest? nah not enough for my liking.

Jes Goodwin came out on top over the internal design war; that’s as decorated as a c-rank hero is going to get.

Where's the sad react when you need it?

Im sure they make money. But no one at my club (which has a very wide age range) has a 40k Primarch. HH group do.

Well, he's also the primarch that created the Order of Interrogation during the Siege with several of the future founders of the Inquisition. And there's that Abnett book series featuring the Inquisition, the King in Yellow, and yet another AL marine claiming to be Alpharius...
Btw, Abnett not only is fond of subverting expectations, he also has stated more than once that Dorn is his favourite primarch.

You should read the latest Pariah book.

We don’t know if Dprn will return. Personally I’d expect them to do Russ first as he’s got a model range to go with. Russ also said he’d come back.

Dorn is a big guy in the heresy and top Primarch on the loyalist side (at least in terms of rank) towards the end. He and the imperial Fists are much less of a thing in 40K, though Fists successors are the most prominent, with BTs doing their thing and Crimson Fists as kind of the OG marines. If Dorn did return he’d be busy.

Way back in late 7th edition, one of the premier rumour-mongers of the day was a chap called Hastings. He reported that he had seen detailed designs for Magnus, Guilliman, Mortarion, Angron and Russ. He was met with scepticism at the time but Magnus came out 6 months later and this rumour is now 4/5. 8 years is a long time, clearly more than enough for  the Lion and Fulgrim to jump the queue but I am still hopeful that we will see Russ sooner rather than later.

I would almost bet on a Fulgrim vs Russ by the end of the edition. Almost.

Yes, we all know Abnett has an obnoxious bias for the Imperial Fists. He's the one that told French to kill off Alpharius in Praetorian of Dorn.
