I wonder if they're reboxing all the kits for the new Codex.

Even the 30 year old Catachans are sold out. I can’t imagine they’d be reboxing them, especially when people might be wanting to buy all these kits to start their guard armies.

They probably just don't have any, period.

Taurox box is consistently sold out.  It's a popular model.

Im gonna try tauroxs, chimeras constantly getting silly points hikes has infuriated me :furious:

I just love the constant hypocrisy I’ve found here.

’movement wins games’

’chimera is better it has more firepower’

’transport shooting is only incidental damage’

i don’t pay much attention to who says what so maybe it’s 3 different people, but I see all these regularly stated on this forum and in this sub even lol.

but yeah, a few extra twin linked autocannons with 12” move that can advance and disembark is by no means bad lol.

Anyone else disappointed by the kreig stuff:ermm:

Deathriders are poor compared to RR, the lord marshal is bad:ermm:

Without the regular marshals feel no pain the infantry might not compete with even catachans since scout is so valuable:ermm:

The artillery piece and engineers are now overcosted:mellow:

Even the best artillery piece, the cannon, d6 shots is just very swingy for any price tag above a certain margin:ermm:

Nope, it all looks (visually) pretty cool.

Death riders could come down 20 pts across the unit and it's a great screening unit without Drier, and absolute devastating charge with him.

Engineers are fairly costed and would've been an easy 3-of if they stayed at their codex points.

Artillery team probably needs like 10 points off, but otherwise feels correct for what ti does beyond shooting (area denial for deep striking and back objective holding).

Command squad should've been separated, that's the real bummer for this release.

Nothing is stopping you from using the index sheets for the Marshall. I can't imagine you're going to a tournament so who cares?

I’m just disappointed that it was krieg at all and not Catachan.

Assuming 11th brings around a Catachan refresh, what unique unit type do y’all think they’ll get?

Prob similar, lord solar type officer, new range refresh, hopefully they don't continue with the everyone gets a horse theme:tongue:

Catachan Devils will be the unique unit, back from 3rd

edit: + new command squad, new infantry, new heavy weapons with demolition charges, lots of snipers and man portable heavy flamers as wargear - maybe booby traps too?

i imagine straken will get a new miniature too, maybe marbo as well, maybe even harker, who knows

Infantry heavy flamers would be nice.

Yeah would love to have them back, looking like this:

(although there is of course the plastic option in the Catachan command squad)

Kitbashed one for my veterans before they got nuked.

I think a lot of it comes down to reboxing, but I also feel like GW might be catching on a bit more to guard's popularity. it's been damn near impossible to get your hands on the Death Korps kill team box on Amazon for a few months now.

I think we'll see a Krieg style release for them. Basic infantry kit will show up as a Kill Team release, then 11th will give them new models for command squads, heavy weapons, elite infantry, a named character (probably Straken), and possibly an upgrade sprue with stuff like foliage and such for tanks.

That being said, I've been kind of suspicious of how much Armageddon and the Steel Legion has been popping up in official GW stuff lately.

If steel legion gets a refresh before Catachans I am going to Nottingham and rioting.

Might as well get ready, they drop tomorrow.

The DKoK make for fine Steel Legion models, which considering they were originally a paint scheme mod of the old models, makes sense.

Or were you referring to a rules refresh?

They’re two clearly different model lines now.

I cant see them going past cadians, deathkorps and catachans:no:

Next dex will prob be all singing and dancing catachan release:ermm:

Hopefully they dont nerf them into the ground to the point were people are going back to cadians like they have done with kreig stuff:tongue:

I hope a new datasheet and kit provides for a special melee weapon and pistol for the sgt.

if they’re going to be our melee unit, they need a lot of help.

Can you really see them making them melee? :ermm:

All I can see is that they will get a new box with updated usual loadouts, pp for sgt and usual special weapon options:yes:

I mean their unit ability and short ranged special weapons options makes them inherently the de facto melee choice for our battleline choices.

at the very least I hope the sgt gets a chainsword with a profile of A4 S3 AP-1 D1

and an option between plasma pistol, bolt pistol and hand flamer for special pistols.
