Direct confirmation I think of all the chaos legions being condensed into Mono God books.

Cool special editions, I like that it comes with objective markers AND strategem cards.

Just the sort of thing that would have really appealed to me a couple of editions ago, I'm easily swayed by some fancy metallic tokens. But then I realised those trinkets never really left their box and I never looked at them. As these kinds of things go this looks like a really nice one but could you settle for just getting the one God's and what if you managed to get three but missed out on the forth, what then?

Isn’t Aaron Dembski-Boden head of narrative development for 40K now. I remember him saying, on this forum I believe, that chaos undivided was going to be phased out over a decade ago.

It's mostly already happened - Chaos Marks now exist only as one-of-eight's Detachment Rule, wherein they offer small (but meaningful) boosts to the basic Chaos Space Marine codex Army Rule. The majority of Chaos Space Marine forces don't care about what god one might worship.

(And the limited ability to ally in the four classic Cult Troops, though the new Noise Marines are quite different to most previous incarnations.)

I don't recall that, and as...the...writer of the decade for the Word Bearers, I very much doubt that will happen! I think it was under Gav or the 6th ed codex that undivided went away and things like daemon princes were forced to have a mark, while recently they can be un-marked.

Do you mean just the chaos space marine legions? there's the line:

"all four Chaos Gods and their mortal legions are now represented in Warhammer 40,000.

To me that doesnt read like daemons are getting rolled, however i'll be keen to see if they are - the Eldar codex had a bunch of dark eldar units in it for the Ynnari, fully plausible for Thousand Sons etc to get padded out with dameons, and retain daemons as a standalone army.

I wonder how many people will buy splash out to get te full medallion. Seems super pricey and I don't know what you'd do with it. That said GW probably only need to get one or two of those buyers and they probably have earned their money back.

A hint at WE being next or just an eight-pointed star?

I believe they said during the last reveal show that the Thousand Sons/World Eaters/Death Guard are supposed to come in a batch basically in the Spring. It's also what Valrak has stated, but that take with appropriate salt

Too decadent for my tastes.

Far be it from me to make up your mind for you, but if you read like one more paragraph down;

"the time above is the first in the series, representing the emperors children AND Slaanesh."

That's pretty unequivocally being rolled in at least in my ability to decipher the archaic prose of Warhammer Community.

Neat-o, the collector in me loves the idea of collecting the disc pieces, but the logic in me says how bad would it feel when you end up missing out on one because it sells out too fast. If GW can't garuntee copies,  Ill skip it all and save my money.

Interesting to note that he (tongue in cheek) holds up Codex: Chaos (1996) as the pinnacle, side-eyes Codex: Chaos Space Marines (2002) a bit, and then talks about how Abbadon is a big deal for being Undivided.

In Codex: Chaos (1996) there was no Mark of Chaos Undivided, and units could not be given Marks. Only characters could take marks (Cult Troops/Terminators had them inherently), and Lords could take more than one. Abaddon, naturally, had all four, but so could your generic warband leader. (Or they could be Marked by, say, Slaanesh and Tzeentch.)

//

Abaddon was then like this again in the 10th edition Index (bearing all four Marks), before the Codex switched him back to Undivided.

Two things I hope never come to pass.
