I grabbed this from a Valrak video on youtube. Basically I just wanted to let you folks know that it looks like Dark Angels, in the form of Guardians of the covenant will be heavily featured in the upcoming Crusade book.

The start of Vigilus/Nachmund Gauntlet was quite a while ago if you remember (we saw some phobos, venomcrawlers, etc.) The storyline was great. Chaos was a bit of a joke, but this is apparently quite different.

I'm not going to give any spoilers here, there's a lot out there right now. But it looks to be a really cool continuation of something pretty interesting. If you recall the Nachmund Gauntlet is really a choke point between the chaos controlled space and the Imperium.

This is where we might see the coming of drop pods/dreadclaws... you never know.

But anyway, me and my friends usually play a loose version of the campaign. (Just a little more competitive.) I hope you guys end up having a look at it. It can give your groups a shot in the arm.

You can see the basic armies included from the GW Community page:

I thought it was cool they included the Guardians. They look nice on the table. (I like the mild Outrider conversions too as I use them myself.)

Now I have to figure out if I'm Black Legion/World Eaters OR Dark Angels for this little shindig.

I'll be honest, I'm far more interested and impatient on what The Lion is doing now that he's back.  Especially vis-a-vis Guilliman as the top dog.  I'm trilled to see a non-UM chapater in the summer campaign - or at least as the focus of said campaign - but there's a whole lot of DA fluff that is completely up in the air and GW has to juggle it soon:

Does the Ravenwing still hunt The Fallen?  Will they abandon someone to signal the Deathwing (And the Lion) to teleport down on their head?  Is the Lion reconnected with all his successor chapters?  Has he met Guilliman?  Is he the new Regent of Imperium Nihilus?  Is he a free agent able to show up anywhere?  Where is Cypher?  What happens when he meets the Lion?  What happens when the Lion recognizes his gait/mannerisms/etc and finally puts a real name to Cypher?  Which side is Cypher really on?  Cypher is a somewhat major fluff collision about to happen, Guilliman is a potentially fun but minor collision with a lot of interest.

I agree. For us it's a different ball game, but I'm still overall very excited to revisit this.

The last time I played the full campaign at the store including the ending mega battle. It was a blast. I think I still have my "Vigilus" currency coin from that weekend.

All we know for sure is the Lion is aware of Guillman but I'd love them to meet as well.

I was so impressed with Son of the Forest's portrayal of the Lion and his ... personality change. I haven't seen this from any other Primarch (character growth). It was really interesting.

So maybe... just maybe the result of this conflict has the Lion connecting with the Imperium.

I recall reading a fluff blurb about the Lion allowing the Fallen to be brought in for interrogation, but always calling first dibs before letting the Interrogator-Chaplains get to work.  He (privately) meets with the Fallen in question without anyone else present.  Sometimes, the Lion vanishes and takes the Fallen with him (presumably taking said Fallen to his own pocket dimension to train up and rearm as one of the Risen).  Other times, he just leaves and lets the Interrogator-Chaplains go to town.  This would imply that the Unforgiven tradition of seeking out the Fallen and bringing them back for "redemption" is still ongoing.  (Seemingly, despite the return of the Lion, GW has taken things in a direction that changes the Dark Angels as little as possible: no dissolution of the Deathwing, no Asmodai being manually decapitated for zealotry, etc..)  It's unclear what a meeting with Cypher would result in, given that there's supposed to be some mystery as to Cypher's true mission and loyalties.  Actually meeting with the Lion would clear up a lot, so I think GW will continue to put off such a meeting until they're ready to let Cypher go the way of Namaan and Balthasar; even if GW doesn't kill Cypher off in such a meeting, he's going to be a very different character after the fact.
