Howdy all.

Interested if anyone has a better, more suitable suggestion for the trinket you can see here:

I'm thinking of going with the following but it's not very accurate:

Not sure i could convert anything near accurate unfortunately. Maybe, if there's a way but haven't a clue what to source as a base?

I'm sure I got bits somewhere of the Venerable kit too.

This thing? just looks like a chain to me. Possbilty with gem or orb at the end.

That could be a good idea to convert a Sternguard shoulder pad or body trinket.

looking at it a bit  more I can see it has wings.

The original bit you posted could do. There's some bits on intercessor shoulder pads. Other bits that could do would be the top of backpack standards.

I have some memory of space marines sometimes having jewels around about 2nd edition, but so far google images hasn't turned up anything.

It's such a small part of the piece I wouldn't worry too much about 100% accuracy. An acquila would do fine. What have you got so far in the model?

I'm pretty sure it was either the 2nd Ed. Metals, or that multipart plastic kit that had a few torsos with gems in the wings.
