GSCUprising
The Miners' Guild of Shaft VII have been slowly building up their strength before they burst forth from the tunnels to overthrow their Imperial oppressors and claim their home in the name of the coming Star Children. Through various machinations, they've persuaded their brothers in the Planetary Defence Force to join them in their struggle for dignity and freedom. Their time is not now, but it will come, soon... I really enjoy the subversive element of the Cult and their joining up with Brood Brothers really appeals to me, together with the final horror of what they will inflict upon themselves and their brethren. I'm not the greatest of painters, but I do really enjoy giving these guys the dirty, scruffy, downtrodden look I visualise them to have. As a new user, I cannot upload images, so here's a Reddit post of a few of my boys. I'll upload progress once am able to post properly. N1SB
Brother, your painting is a lot better than merely reasonable, in fact it's pretty great! My painting is very unreasonable. There's no rhyme or reason, no logic. GSCUprising
Just finished up the Macharius Vulcan for my lads and lassies. Second Malcador is next on the hit list, followed by a slew of Russes! GSCUprising
Life isn't always easy as an aspiring Primus. I got a group of the lads together to go 'acquire' another weapon of war from the PDF's deep storage warehouse, where long ago mothballed vehicles and weaponry are kept in the event their services are required in some long distant conflict. Well, I was pleased when they reported success in their mission to acquire another Malcador to partner with the one we already have. When they arrived back, however, it wasn't quite what I had in mind. Still, it begins with 'M' and has tracks, I suppose. Never send an Aberrant to do a Neophyte's job. (I was planning to paint my second Malcador, but got distracted.) This is a part of my project to paint up models to Battle Ready standard until I have my target models completed. I'll go back over and do the finer points once that's done. I'm also not thrilled with the mud on this one versus the Macharius Vulcan above. GSCUprising
I've added a small selection of mostly Brood Brother pics to the Xenos/Cults album as well as some backstory. Constructive criticism always welcome. Thank you. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385496-uprising-on-prawa-v/#findComment-6100234 Share on other sites
Captain Durante
Nice tank choices. I Never liked the look of the leman Russ tanks. And the orlock look is a great alternative to all the mining gear. The gangs are still the low life’s of society. I chose the tanks as it fits in with the background I gave them in that the world of Prawa V was once, centuries ago, torn by war. Centuries of relative peace led the Imperial bureaucrats to order them mothballed in giant underground bunkers where they sit and collect dust. As part of their slow building of resources, they have 'acquired' a few vehicles from these bunkers, hence many of them are of 'older' design. I'll be updating the blog I have created with some more background. Thanks for the comment. GSCUprising
So, I know we cannot take the Valkyrie, but I really like the model and had to have one. Finally getting through my pile of shame as I first purchased and undercoated this about two years ago! Obviously, I cannot take with with my Cultists, but I've more than enough Brood Brothers to field a comfortable 2000pts IG army. brother_b, LameBeard and deathspectersgt7 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/385496-uprising-on-prawa-v/#findComment-6103269 Share on other sites

GSCUprising
I painted these Jackals up with railway lines underneath them for a bit of interest. I like the idea of them flying through some deserted shunting yard on the way to their next target. Thoughts most welcome. I do think I should add some sprigs of grass and such to emphasise the deserted feel. EDIT: Sorry for the potato cam. Will charge up the DSLR. kabaakaba
Good job. I'm agreed, some dried grass can make it better. Idk if so intended, but in my taste for guys riding desert they ain't dusted enough. I'll sort out a better pic today. Unfortunately, the lights in my cabinet tend to wash out some detail, but I hope you see the improvement.
