I'm coming back after a couple of years break and I'm completely out of the loop on who the best third party bits purveyors are now.

In my absence it seems that a lot of changes have been made to the space marine lines with various plastic and resin firtborn kits going out of print or perenially 'temporarily unavailable'. For the sake of aesthetic preference and matching my existing armies I'm really interested in finding someone who might be selling firstborn scale of the following:
- Mk. V (torsos and legs)
- Mk. IV (legs primarily, but very keen on any Destroyer/OOP assault squad style torsos)
- Mk. VI (legs)

Now I know that these are available in the plastic 40k tactical squad box to a certain extent, but the now OOP forgeworld armour sets had running and walking legs that I was quite keen on, so anything in that vein would be particularly appreciated.

How partial are you to 3d printing yourself and/or getting someone to print for you? As there would be some avenues that won't appear on any one store for long.

I'm not averse to it on principle, but I don't have a printer myself nor do I know anyone who has one. I'm vaguely aware that there are people who will print files you send them, so files  of what I'm after rather than an actual item I can purchase from a store are also welcome.

Understandable, in either case let me point you to some sculpts I found:

https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/pattern-d-generic-bodies-pre-supported  some MkIV legs bodies by DMS, offered as a free download. Those are MKIV designed to be in line with the general vibe of the new MkVI and MkIII, but with a ball socket. Spoiler contains an image of how the prints look when printed at 96% size and 0.03mm resolution.

Currently it is also available on etsy with all the work done by another, though his print partners usually vanish after a good while, probably  to get GW off their backs. So in his case one has to keep an eye out.

https://cults3d.com/en/users/HelicopterHelicopter/3d-models  This one has mostly free samples on their page, since they had to take down a good chunk of their more expansive offerings. In this case I recommend DMing them directly for buying those files.

https://cults3d.com/en/users/Red-warden-miniatures/3d-models For general bits and bobs though they also have some conversion kits for techmarines, apothercaries, librarians, MkV (intended cannibalise other kits), and al manner of chapter specific stuff. They also take commissions if one needs a specific chapter, though they usually have relatively long waiting times.

In either case I recommend nabbing as many freebies and samples as possible, as they might pop on and off at any giving moment.

Thank you very much.

It's nice to see that Red Warden Miniatures migrated to somewhere. They're one of several Shapeways stores I had saved, but obviously those are all gone now. Since most of them didn't trade in the parts I'm now looking for I hadn't thought to look them up and see if they have newer incarnations elsewhere

Kromlech offers fitting Legs if you like their Style.

I do have and have made use of some of their legs, but at the moment I am looking for designs closer to the official ones that are now OOP.

Yeah, shapeways was my go to as well, though at least in the case of red warden they had their cults page well established and released their files there before making them available on shapeways.

Tortuga bay has whole lines dedicated towards true scale / chunkier space marines. Have a look at their site. I’ve ordered dozens of boxes from them, and they’ve all been crisp casts (they even did a special print for me to accommodate my dislike of aquilas)
