At this point it doesn’t look like plague marines or AoD will get a separate release.  It’s a bit frustrating if you run them as it means you’ll never get tokens. Third parties can make those for you though.

Otherwise, the individual teams get their releases when the next set is released. Ratlings and wreckas came out along with blood and zeal.

the bigger problem is I can't get them... boxes are sold out for a long time and I don't think GW is going to make more? so ebay? seems odd not to release them

Its the base starterset for the edition, not a limited box like the others.. so it should be available for 2 more years at least.

Thats a big should nowadays though, because indeed GW is often out of stock on a lot of things... I dont think it would help much if they where available seperate either ( it would probably help less as there would be one less barrier for those who want either team just for their 40k armies.)

edit: You probably are not talking about the starterset, as it doesnt show as out of stock on GWs webstore for me

I was talking about the starter set. it does say in stock in my country but I tend not to buy from GW - so that mistake is on me. Locally, it's been sold out for a long time and they can't seem to order more from GW for whatever reason. who knows. I don't know that the starter set does anything for 40k? The DG give you some plague marines and a character, the space marines? I am not even sure... i guess you can use them in a squad but I don't think they have their own data sheet?

Regardless of that buying a more expensive starter box when you only want one team is ... less desirable. Not sure why they wouldn't or aren't releasing them as individual teams.

I was lucky to have all the death guard from the 8e starter available to convert into my plague marine team.

There were some fairly straightforward conversions, like giving a bolter guy the big axe from the lord to make a fighter. quite pleased with how they came out.

The starter from GW isn’t terrible value. You might even enjoy using the angels of death sometimes, or of course you could sell them. It’s useful to have the token sheet too, though annoying it doesn’t include the full rules.

I am genuinely perplexed by the people complaining that these servitors aren’t all mindless zombie thralls with minimal brain function..

Obviously there are different classes and grades of servitors in 40K.

I’m pretty sure technoarchaeologists and other high ranking adepts embarking on dangerous missions into hostile territories to find and recover STC’s will be able to requisition much higher grade combat servitors to protect them.

They aren’t going to take base level servitors that are monotasked to clean toilets and scrub floors to find STC’s which are like their Holy Grails, are they..

here (UK) the space marine team sells for half the price of the box, so its probably the cheapest way to get into KT. They are all on individual sprues and meant to pop out so i can see why they might not end up boxing them as individual teams. They might not even be made at the Nottingham factory??

It went out of stock in the UK for a while but has come back in now

You can use the captain in 40k easily, the others can be used to partly fill out the Company Heroes (especially if you have the banner guy and the lieutenant with power sword from the DI box)

I see. I don't play space marines so I don't really have a use for them. I could sell them I guess. kind of a hassle. I did not know they were all on individual sprues but this makes sense since they were blind boxes at one point. They could gather them up and sell them in a nex box but maybe they dn't want to do that.

i love the underseer model!!!! might use her and some bits from the other models to make a Magos Dominus for my Mechanicum allies in HH!!! :D just need to find someone locally to split the box with when it comes out

Nothing yet. New data slate coming for kill team but no news on this release. maybe in a week or 2?

My guess would be not for at least a month and maybe two. Blood and zeal only arrived in shops last weekend and they’ll definitely be spaced out more than a month.

These previews can create an expectation that things are coming very soon, but they’re showing us the next few months worth of releases.

The release  pace used to be approx 8 weekend between 2 KT boxes. And it was short. So I would say your estimate looks reasonnable
