Well those blood claws are finally addressing pretty much all the issues I have with the primaris design. Move all the marine designs more that way and I might even move out of my HH corner in the future!

I really hope we keep Bjorn in the codex but there’s a good chance he doesn’t make the trip to Armageddon. Hope they don’t kill him offscreen and we get a model down the line.

A brutalis/ Wulfen dread would be the easiest thing to put in the codex. Edit; then again maybe not. The data sheet on those two is similar already

If rumors about Russ returning in 11th are true, I certainly do hope they keep Bjorn. It'd be nice to see how he reacts to his Primarch finally returning.

That in mind, we do have more on the way. Logan's already been mentioned in rumors, as has new Wolfguard Terminators. Hopefully we get new Longfangs as well.

Not a big Space Wolves guy, but this looks great. I'm really happy with how we're slowly seeing more and more elements of the iconic space marine look return to the primaris range.

Nice models. Feels like they come back down to early SW themes instead of overwulving. Is there another way as a non SW player to tell apart blood claws from Grey hunters beside their right pauldron color?

Love these. Always had a soft spot for SW but never collected an army. FOMO is real for that army set but I can’t justify buying anything else right now. :sigh: maybe some day.

Only slight concern is the fixed-looking poses, which really stand out on the “better pics” post above. Hopefully the arms can be switched between the bodies and they aren’t half moulded into the torsos: that would make a big difference. I think this is the case as the two guys holding just the bolter have different bodies.

Yeah, these new SW are probably the best looking primaris era range refresh. They even have correctly proportioned weapons unlike other recent oversized toy-like monstrosities. Well done GW!

My only criticism is that now Blood Claws and Grey Hunters will look too similar with both having chainswords and guns. Their silouette is almost the same in a table. Hunters should have empathized that they're the SW version of tacticals/intercessors, with seathed swords and keeping access to special weapons like BT.

These all look fantastic. I've been wanting to do a Space Wolves force for some time now but held off because of the rumours about a refresh, looks like it was the right call. May have to see if I can scrape the cash together for the £145-150 box (I know 3rd party places will be cheaper but if history repeats like the Blood Angels box, they'll fail me)

Thinking about 20 datasheets, here's my predictions:

We know 100% that there are datasheets for: Ragnar, Battle Leader, Wolf Priest, Headtakers, Blood Claws, Grey Hunters (6).

We can make an educated guess that Wulfen and Hounds of Morkai will return (2).

From rumours we can also assume that the following will be included: Logan, Njall, Arjac, Terminators, Wolf Scouts (5).

We can also guess there will be a Wulfen Dreadnought one way or another (1).

That's 14/20 datasheets, so we need to find another 5. To me that's probably Bjorn, Murderfang, Venerable Dreadnought, Stormwolf and Stormfang. BUT given the heavy move away from older kits, I have some doubts about the various dreadnoughts, and the Stormwolf/fang is hardly that popular these days so both could be for the chop. There's also the Ulrik model, which is fairly new in the grand scheme, and that'd be controversial to send him to Legends.

Is there a world in which the vehicles all go and there's maybe enough space in the datasheets for a Primarch? Probably not, but food for thought.

Bjorn is just too iconic to be removed, IMO. I think GW will eventually release an unique Redemptor variant for the SW with him as an option, and meanwhile keep the current boxnaught kit

I played Space Wolves from 3rd to 5th edition, though i never finished all the new models I bought in 5e. Have not played them since returning to the game in 8e, but honestly these have me pretty tempted. I think that these really stole the show.

Personally i like that they seem to be leaning back into the viking theme. Wolf stuff is still there, but its not overpowering. And they have a lot of normal power weapons, with only the Wolf Priest having a a fang dagger.

Excited for what's left for the wolves. I felt the Adepticon reveals for most things were rather anemic but I really enjoyed the wolves and their new kits look great and true to the original, in my opinion.

Well this is a fantastic release.

im incredibly annoyed about death company right now though lol

plus side, the blood claws and grey hunters mostly look eminently convertible to not be wolves

Excellent update!  Best primaris update to date!

Like that they gave blood claws bolt pistols and not the heavy version, a nice distinction from assault intercessors with slightly worse shooting and slightly better melee.

Hope we will see terminator wolf guard squad leaders, and really curious about wolf scouts.  Hope we will get some kill team rules for the wolves!

With these great updated sculpts I dont think they will include any of the old ones, so thunderwolves are probably gone until/if they get the primaris resculpt..

Maybe twc would stay in the codex but all leading character retired, just like…chaos bikes?
