Long Fangs aren't rumoured. I suspect they become a keyword for heavy support units like Desolators, like how Blood Claw keyword is currently on Outriders (replacing swift Claws)... At least until they do a dedicated Long Fang kit in future releases.

I predict first reveal this afternoon, second part next monday and preorder the 17 may.

(The pattern for the reveal and release of the new blood angels was like that. Reveal of the box with codex the 29/7, reveal of captain & apo the 5/8 and Sanguinor/guard the 12/8. All monday. The box was on preorder the 24/8 and solo release the 5/10.)

You know, I've never been much of a Space Wolf person, but this is one of the times I wish we could use expletives on here because those are some of the best marine models they've done in years.

I do wonder why they did not stretch and milk this but I'm not complaining!

 

Njall losing his termi armour is a bit sad, it was one of the things that made him stand out from his Chief Libi peers, at least he has the 'haunting mystic' vibe down.

Agreed, it legitimately feels like they lets the signar guys at them. The sculpt and paint scheme is so grim and just hits right. Grimnar exudes wisdom and threat I'm equal measure. Bravo GW.

Grimnars pose is odd, looks like he is gingerly balancing on the big tactical rock, worried he is about to fall off 

 

Posing on most of these model is poor really, all of the wolf guard look awkward.  The posing on normal and deathwing terminators is far better.

Logan should have told his tactical rock to save a little Rubicon for the rest of the class.

 

The "hammer throw" option for Arjac is skol-worthy, but I'm glad to see they included a more standard option as well. Not always a thing with character models.

 

Njal's Terminator status has been terminated.

 

We know Russ is coming most likely after the edition turnover, but he won't be the codex tie-in release. Too early to get my bet in on Bjorn?

His oldest model is PA and GW 40k sculpters do have a kind of derpy obsession with trying to mimic the oldest available art/model where possible.

Space Wolves have clearly been favoured, in terms of the number of models they are getting, because Darren Latham is now senior in the studio and he absolutely loves them.

I wonder if this means Bjorn and Murderfang will definitely be leaving the codex now. Bjorn I imagine would be returning at some stage at least, either with new Redemptor chasis, or updated castraferrum, possibly in 11th or an end of edition campaign.

And just like that that I am a teenager again excited for a new Space Wolf release.

 

I absolutely love Logan. Perfect blend of wise old king and stalking threat, though the size reduction of his wolves makes me fear for Thunderwolf Cavalry.

 

New Arjac is a vast improvement in my opinion. Love the hammer throwing pose.

 

I like the new Njal, though I think I did prefer his Terminator version. Also think I'll like it more after seeing others paint it as I don't think the Eavy Metal scheme is particularly flattering.

 

Terminators aren't bad, but don't excite as much as the other infantry kits we've seen. But again I like them enough that seeing others work and getting the kit in my own hands will probably change my mind.

 

But the Terminators are once again throwing up my only issue with this refresh: the distinct lack of sculpted shoulder pads. I'm only seeing them on the characters and one on the Terminator leader. Really hope we're at least getting an upgrade sprue on par with the Blood Angels and Dark Angels one, or we just haven't seen the whole contents of the new kits. Transfers are fine for those who like them, but there are plenty of us out there who don't.
