He kinda has to be on an 80mm base, on a 60mm one he we be too small, and on a 100mm he would be far too large. 70mm and 90mm bases do not exist.

His furs and hair also add a lot of mass. Though i'll ask the sote owner if he can make sure he got the numbers right, just in case.

Thanks for the analysis. I agree 80mm seems the most likely. 90mm certainly do exist though:

I think you are right. Although the way he is mounted on a big 80mm base with all that extra height makes him a real centrepiece leader. So much so that it makes me doubt we will see Russ this edition.

I don't think GW ever think like that though (gestures at the BA release)

Figured it wouldn't be Space Wolves this Sunday. Still banking on the 17th being the day preorders go up for them as it would put the release cleanly on the 31st.

That is my guess. A May 11 Sunday reveal of SW & TSons would get the SW Army Box and the [tiny] Thousand Sons release out of the way before June and make shareholders very happy.

I was trying to figure out the scale, and it seems like Logan is still in the ball park of the Leviathan-era Terminator captain and Abaddon is still slightly bigger. Arjac on the other hand IS on Abaddon's level in size but posture, lack of basing and armour glitz make it tougher to determine.

Personally, I like it this way, because Abaddon would try to fight Grimnar and Grimnar would be like, "Pfff, I got a guy for that," and Grimnar would continue commanding the battle while Arjac welcomes Abby to man-mountain.

I’m wonder if Grimnar will have different head options like Abaddon, The Lion, and other marine centerpiece models. I hope he does.
Grimnar definitely is in the same tier as Abaddon of models with lifelike intensity.

I think GW were less concerned at making Grimnar seem like a Primarch and rather this was just Space Wolf fanboys Jes Goodwin and Darren Latham ensuring Grimnar had a cool model that also justified replaced the chariot kit with.
