Thunderwolf Cavalry are just ridiculous from a lore point of view and the models have aged terribly, so if they've gone then good riddance.

Basic TWC are still there. It is only the characters that have gone to Legends.

TWC characters are all resin. Know theyre a marmite unit but they would sell boat loads if they were redone. Plus GW love 4 legged models/canines now, theyre second only to tactical rocks

One thing I have read that I have not seen mentioned yet is that Wolf Priests can apparently join Headtaker units. If true that could be a very potent combo as +1 to Wound on those MC Power axes would be pretty good an reviving a fallen 3W 3+/.4++ model is much better than anything Apothecaries can revive.

I imagine we've got access to a healthy amount of the standard codex units. Apothecaries will be out, as will some of the surviving firstborn units (tacticals/devastators). Beyond that I don't think there'll be that much of a restriction. I'm hoping that units get appropriate keywords for flavour, but we'll see.

With no Long Fangs in the book I suspect we will get access to Devastators for at least the rest of the edition.

They're not gone, many Space Wolves fans love them, it is a popular kit, and it will have an update one day along with new HQ models.

 

Tell me what your favourite kit is so I can I tell you how much it sucks and how it deserves to get cut. Or maybe your favourite is something that's been cut already and I can rub it in?
